So, my fathers kidney numbers were failing. Dangerous territory. Every meeting w the dr. was maybe 5 minutes long, drink more gatorade, you look great, see you next time! If he wouldve told us what to look out for, I wouldve gotten my dad to the hospital sooner. He wouldnt of had acute kidney failure. And wouldnt of died in my arms in the hospital. We only assumed it was "normal side effects". Please anyone out there, be careful. Just because you feel great, everything could go wrong in heartbeat. In our case that is what happened. If your bun/creat. ratio is rising past 20 and 25, just because it says "normal" it is not! Would another dr catch this? I dont know. But I wouldnt put my life in this man's hands again, along with his "team" who also didn't know my fathers scans should be in the same place (rayus) and didn't advise us on that either which caused more delays.

Dr. Shah is caring, easy to talk with and has a positive attitude that carries over to all of the staff. When I was first diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, it was a total shock as I had no symptoms. He helped both me and my daughter deal with the illness and decide on a course of treatment. I would recommend him to everyone.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Shah?
Dr Shah handwrites his prescriptions which his staff and nurses cannot read properly. This created devastating mistakes in my mother's care. One was a major dosage error which caused her to have a severe fall at home which affected her for the rest of her life. The other mistake was an incorrect scan which was exhausting for her during her stage 4 cancer fight. All in all there were numerous clerical errors that could have caused a fatality. We finally convinced her to switch oncologists.
