Dr. Suann Chen, MD

Dr Chen led the rehabilitation team working with my wife following a traumatic brain injury. The team were extremely competent, well-coordinated and compassionate. My wife was extremely comfortable with all members of the team and their combined efforts, which have yielded terrific results. Dr Chen herself was hands-on and from my wife’s first admission she clearly communicated the plan for my wife’s recovery, the milestones, the end goal and set realistic expectations. Throughout the inpatient stay at Johnson Rehab Institute, this level of communication was maintained. At discharge into the outpatient setting, Dr Chen spent a good deal of time with us both explaining what we had achieved and why, and what the next steps would be. We left with full knowledge of what awaited us, a clear plan for homecare, contact details for further information and the transition to outpatients has been seamless. I would highly recommend Dr Chen and her team. I couldn’t be more grateful to them.
