Aggressively arrogant and disrespectful. Shameful!
I had an appalling experience with Dr. Ryan Vidrine. The purpose of my review is to enable other patients to avoid the same humiliating, infuriating, and deeply hurtful disrespect he subjected me to. This psychiatrist is among the most emotionally unintelligent people I've ever met in all my many years. His communication skills were deplorable and his 'bedside manner' was unforgivably unprofessional, arrogant, mean, and controlling. Those coming for TMS treatment are nearing the end of their ropes, having tried and failed numerous times (often at great personal expense and heartache) to get effective treatment for extremely painful mental health problems. This is no way to treat them. Look elsewhere for help. Find a doctor who values his patients and knows how to treat them with courtesy and dignity instead of shameful, aggressive bullying and disrespect. There are good doctors out there. Vidrine is not one of them. Quite the opposite. One star is way, way, way too much for this guy.

Hateful and insensitive
Telehealth
Dr Vidrine has a bad temper and is condescending. He spoke to me very disrespectfully on many occasions, and when I pointed this out he became angry. On a telehealth call I was driving and using a hands free device and he demanded that I pull over or he would end the session and charge me full price (which he did). He was literally yelling at me so I said goodbye and ended the call. He lacks empathy and his bedside manner is atrocious. Google him and you’ll see many reviews like this one. Stay away

Doesn't Care
Stay away from "Dr." Vidrine. He is awful. He does not care about his patients and is lazy, lazy, lazy. He didn't help AT ALL.

Dr Vidrine was foundational to my recovery
These negative reviews sadden me. I can say without hesitation Dr Vidrine was foundational/critical in helping me get my life back. He is relatable, caring, and listened. I owe so much to him. I’ve laughed and cried in his office and always felt like I was going to get better under his care- I was an hopeless mess when I first saw Dr V and today, I am in a much much better place with him helping me. As a specialized psychiatrist (ocd expert)- sometimes a Dr has to play good coo/bad cop- to change the way we think/react especially w OCD. Saw him for 4 years and countless appts. This is the review you should read.

Does not listen, felt like torture
I recently posted a positive review, I am so sorry I was hypomanic. I had been working with Vidrine on and off for three years. When I first saw him I made it very clear that I have struggled with insomnia my whole life. Not sure why he made it about my weight when I made it clear that while I was overweight then, I was small most of my life. I was put on lexapro where my hypomania was immediately triggered. I didn't know what hypomania was at the time nor was it discussed as a possible side effect, but I did explain that I felt "amazing" and at times felt like I was a video game character. I was later put on wellbutrin which made my insomnia and hypomania worse to the point where I had read like 50ish books in like 2-3 months. I was also waking up and not knowing where I was. When I explained the insomnia, I was told to just push through or do CBT for insomnia. Thankfully in IOP an empathetic dr put me on trazodone and now no more insomnia.

I've struggled with anxiety & depression for most of my adult life and going to the Phsychistics has been very similar to going to the dentist. You kinda have to, but you really don't expect to find it pleasurable or interesting. My experience with Dr. Vidrine has been very positive. He has pushed me to see my mood disorder through a different lens and offered many resources to face it. I look forward to our appointments these days. I am surprised to see negative reviews. He might be perceived to have "tough love" kinda of approach. Maybe so. He really has pushed me to question my beliefs and my assumptions. This has really helped me. Bottom line, I think he really cares... and I saw that first hand. Thank you Dr. Vidrine.

In my experience, Dr Vidrine was impatient, cruel, and mean-spirited. I also found him to be intimidating and lacking in any empathy whatsoever. I wish i had been one of those patients who responds easily to treatments, but my OCD didn't respond so well. Not his fault, but i really felt that he blamed me for not getting better. He started to get snippy and sarcastic... hardly the qualities you want in a psychiatrist. Perhaps had he been more interested in me as a three dimensional person and actually listened to me, instead of intimidating me so that i was afraid to be me, we might have gotten somewhere. In summary, if you want empathy, and a space to feel safe, go elsewhere!

Dr. Ryan Vidrine is by far the worst psychiatrist I have ever encountered. He has no respect for his patients as human beings and views them solely as a source of income.
