Dr. Steven Vacek, MD

Dr. Vacek was my primary doctor until his move to Texas. I miss him so much! He's the best doctor I've had in all my years and I'm 68.

DR. VACEK, TOOK TIME TO LISTEN, HE ASKED QUESTIONS AND HE CARED, HE WAS SO VERY HELPFUL AND HE IS RARE FOR SURE, FINIALLY FOUND A DOCTOR THAT WOULD SHOW SOME INTEREST IN ME, AND THAT HARD WHEN YOU GET OLD.

Dr. Vacek has been my personal physician for over ten years. He always makes time, cares deeply, keeps up with the latest developments (good and bad) in medicine and advises as much as he treats. Great doctor.

Just a really bad experience, that's all I have to say.

Dr. Vacek was my doctor in the emergency room. From the moment he introduced himself, he was easy to talk to and listened earnestly to me so I could give a full explanation of what was going on. He took my concerns seriously and communicated well. He was thorough in investigating the cause of my symptoms, and worked swiftly to complete the necessary tests and treatment to get me feeling better as soon as possible. He has a kind bedside manner and it was obvious to me that he truly empathizes and cares about his patients.

Always gives thoughtful consideration to any problem. Has been proactive if lab work or ct scan will clear up questions but has given option of waiting also.

My family and I love Dr Vacek. We’ve been blessed to have gotten a dr here in Glen Rose Like him . He sits with you as long As you need and doesn’t make you feel rushed so he can get to the next patient. He’s very knowledgeable about anything you ask him. He’s a dr that cares for and about his patients as people . We definitely don’t want to go to anyone else . Hope Dr Vacek stays in Glen Rose forever!!!!!!

When I was a patient of Dr. Vacek, he ordered a Cologard test in lieu of a colonoscopy that was not covered by my insurance. I now have to pay a bill for $650.

I went to see Dr. Vacek about a sinus infection. He prescribed an antibiotic that the pharmacist found to have an interaction with one of my heart medications. The pharmacist called Dr. Vacek for a recommendation for another medication. I left multiple messages with Dr. Vacek with no reply. After two days passed, the nurse called and said that Dr. Vacek stated that if I had a problem with a drug interaction then I could take half the dose of the antibiotic. Super bad medicine!

Dr. Vacek is caring, thorough, and knowledgeable. He put my concerns at ease, and is following up to ensure my health.

First doctor I've had in a long time that actually took the time to talk to me and was interested in what I had to say. I'm so excited to have found him!
