Dr. Steven Minaglia, MD

I have been having UTI for over several months. Every few weeks it would start again. The last infection with a very bad bacteria. I was feeling very badly. I learned after my visit with going to the CVS urgent who told me I needed to see my doctor about this problem…and when they refused to see me…one thing led to another ER visit and and I ended up with great doctor, Dr. Minaglia who explained some things to me and the ways we could work on resolving my UTI issues. I am happy to have some help…don’t wait. I will say that numerous ER wasn’t terribly helpful…..It is true that one needs to start with your own doctor and go from there.

Dr Minaglia is incredibly patient and cares about his patients. He is forthright, thorough, and knowledgeable. I see a lot of different doctors for a chronic illness and Dr M is one that continues to surprise me with his empathy and care for his patients as whole people, not simply my bladder. Which, for many women, is not simple at all! What a blessing to have been referred to him!

The best doctor I have ever seen! I can not express how happy I am to meet such a great doctor. I'm very picky. He was the only one who was professionall and at the same time very nice and gentle. Thank you Doctor!!!

My wife has some complicated gyneco-urological issues. Over the past few years, Dr. Minaglia has handled all of her issues with aplomb. He is an excellent diagnostician; an excellent therapist; and a very caring and empathetic doctor. My wife is in good hands in his care.

Dr. Minaglia was so kind and really listened to my issues. He told me he suspected IC but couldnt make the diagnsis based on a first visit or bloodwork. He was genuinely concerned how bad my symptoms were and began treatment immediately. He is so busy and has so many patients he cant get me in fast for all the testing he needs to do. Im so grateful im already better based just on his impression of my problem. I wish I saw him much earlier because this last 2 years have been so bad.

I went to Dr. Minaglia once after my regular gyno referred to a uro-gyno specialist due urinary urge frequency. Dr. Minaglia diagnosed me with the autoimmune disorder Painful Bladder Syndrome during my first appointment before even receiving any of my lab work back. He also ran a lab on me that I did not need or ask for and I am now being billed $82 for it. I tried to reach out to Dr. Minaglia with follow up questions after my labs came back via phone and the Queens patient portal multiple times and literally never received a reply.

I would really recommend Dr Minaglia as a uro- gynecologist surgeon.I was very frightened to have a cystoscopy done. He was so gentle and he was telling jokes. Have Polycystic kidney disease and Polycystic liver disease. I had a UTI at the time but he made it so easy. It was almost painless. I screamed when I got the flu vaccine but the booster shot of Moderna for Covid didn't hurt at all. I really think Dr Minaglia is excellent.

Dr. Mina glial is the only doctor that has actually taken the time to help me with my condition when others did nothing! He truly cares for his patients. He’s a amazing doctor! Always available to help or will get back with you ASAP.

My mother wanted me to post this. Dr. Minaglia is my surgeon who performed a complete hysterectomy, bladder repair, and a lot of other repairs I cannot pronounce. He explained the surgery, listened to me attentively, and answered all my questions. He was familiar with all of my issues and is quite knowledgeable, bright, skilled, and very experienced. He is also personable, nice, kind, and optimistic. The surgical and nursing staff spoke positively about him and said he was an excellent doctor. His office staff are nice, professional, and helpful. My surgery went well and the outcome exceeded my expectations, my bladder works better than ever for someone in their 70s! I can easily and highly recommend him to friends and family and anyone.

The doctor does spend time to talk with his patient. However he seems to ignore the questions, concerns and issues I voice regarding my sense and feelings of things going on in my body. I have had mild stress incontinence since the 1960's. He surgically lifted my bladder in 2012. Since this surgery I have very heavy overflow incontinence numerous times throughout the entire 24-hour day. I have not been able to schedule an appointment since 08/25/2017, this review was posted on 09/18/2017.
