Dr. Steven Marcus, MD

Dr Marcus at the time was an exceptionally good doctor when he was my pediatrician from the age of two years old to seventeen years old. His bedside manners were exceptionally good as a medical professional. He was always friendly and empathetic. When I was admitted in Newark Beth Israel Hospital for lead poisoning, he used to always make his rounds on the floor of the Toxicology Unit to make sure all his patients were being well taken care of. When I was released to come home from the hospital, he used to make house visits when my mother couldn't bring me in for an office appointment. As time passed on, he started to draw blood from me w/a different needle from which he originally started using because he saw it was less painful to me. Then he honored my request to change from drawing the blood from the fold of my arm to my hand. I'm tearing up as I'm typing this review not only because I miss him, but that was also a time of my life which I still had my mother....
