Stopped caring.
I saw Dr. Maestrello every 6 months for a couple years. At first he seemed interested in figuring out what was going on with me, and would order extensive blood tests. But after a while, he seemed to just loose interest and not care anymore. And when I tried to give him a detailed pain journal I had been keeping, thinking it may help the diagnosis, he didn't want to see it. All he did was prescribe an NSAID for the symptoms, but I just wanted to know what these pain flair ups are. Eventually the NSAID caused stomach issues and I stopped taking them. It was at that point he stopped ordering tests so I stopped seeing him. He just gave up on me. It's been a few years and the flares are even worse now and I'm in the process of finding a new doctor that might actually care.

Vapid Dr - zero stars
Dr Maestrello showed no concern whatsoever. He made it very evident that he just wanted me gone so he referred me to another Dr. before even attempting to help me. He spent less than 10 mins with me. I paid $100 for this appt. It was a complete waste of time and money. I did not feel as though he was even listening. Seemed like he was only concerned with getting rid of me. I was polite and respectful so that wasn’t the issue. The issue was that he didn’t want to be bothered with me. That’s how he made me feel. I’m glad he turned me away bc he didn’t seem all there. I need a dr that can maintain focus, is knowledgeable, and shows interest. This man was none of those things. He’s a rheumatologist yet had no knowledge regarding my condition. Absolutely none. He kept saying “well, they say….” No idea who “they” are? He never said who “they” are. The man is a fool in my opinion. Left his office with nothing but regrets.

I received zero follow up after requesting extensive bloodwork & that bloodwork indicating very high inflammatory markers. No thorough physical exam. Doctor seems to be very unfamiliar with different rheumatologic conditions. If there is no quick-fix go-to pharma solution, one leaves the office empty-handed, with no diagnosis, and still in severe chronic pain. Doctor seems lethargic and more intent on sitting and typing into laptop than listening, giving patient full attention, and thinking through possible strategies towards healing.

Wasn't a great experience, front desk staff were slightly rude but more importantly Dr. Maestrello immediately discounted my suspected diagnosis that I was referred for without taking the time to thoroughly examine me nor without giving a reason for why he disagreed.

Dr. Maestrello has been seeing my wife for 12 years, I usually accompany her on her appointments. Dr. Maestrello and his entire staff have always been extremely professional and take care of my wife to a level that I couldn't be more happy with. When she has a flair up and requires a short notice appointment they have always made time and taken care of her. As the husband Dr. Maestrelo and his staff still take time with me to answer my questions and give me advice for helping her.

Difficult to get appointments, never seen on time and an office visit every 6 months is required to get prescription refills even after no condition changes and being a patient for 8 years! I will be looking for a new dr.

For 14 years I have fought to find out what was wrong with me, a previous Rheumatologist had diagnosed me with rheumatoid arthritis, but I was having symptoms that were more like Fibromyalgia. I pushed the doctor on the issue, he told me there was no such thing as Fibromyalgia. I decided to try a new doctor...I tried Dr. Maestrello and after 2 visits he diagnosed me with Fibromyalgia, started me on medication and I feel 100% better. He is truly amazing and I owe him so much for helping me!
