Dr. Lee Kong changed my life. I suffered with Diverticulitis for years and then became infected on and off for 9 months and was unable to get a colonoscopy. I lost 30 lbs because I was afraid to eat with fear of another infection again. Unfortunately I had to go to the ER which My Gastroenterologist Dr. Oren Berhiem told me if I had a problem to make sure I go to Hackensack ER where Dr Lee-Kong was. His bedside manners are excellent and he listens and explains everything. His entire team was wonderful. I even had an assigned Nurse who was familiar with my case. Who I did have to reach out to a few times and she was wonderful and Caring. If she didn’t have an answer she would reach out to the doctor if she didn’t have an answer for me. Thank you so much Dr Lee for taking such excellent care of me.

We were blessed to have found Dr. Lee-Kong, an incredibly gifted colorectal surgeon. Following his examination of all of the documentation regarding my wife's colon cancer (Stage 3), he informed us that he believed he could remove the entire tumor and abscess via laparoscopic procedure and he did just that. My wife gained back the 5 lbs. she lost in the hospital and is recovering. Dr. Lee-Kong is a very caring and considerate doctor, makes you feel comfortable and allows time to address all of your questions. His staff is knowledgeable, compassionate and very helpful. Dr. Lee-Kong is the doctor you must see if you have colorectal issues.

I had a problem with Rectal Prolapse, Dr Steven A. Lee- Kong did. surgery on 1/20/2022 !!! It was amazing: I went home the same day, after 4 days all wounds were healed / he left up and fix my rectum/ colon - for do not go out any more…. I highly recommend Dr. Lee-Kong. He is an outstanding surgeon and a very kind and compassionate person. He performed two major surgeries on me five months apart. Both went smoothly and my recovery from each one was better than I expected. I am 84 years old. I am extremely grateful to Dr. Lee-Kong for his knowledge and skill and I have the utmost confidence in his medical judgment. I feel fortunate that I found Dr. Lee-Kong and that I entrusted the surgical management of my condition to him.

Outstanding! I had scheduled a consultation with another doctor who directed me to Dr. Lee-Kong because he felt my condition was best served by him. Dr. Lee-Kong was so kind and so gracious that he fit me into his schedule the same day, right after my initial consultation. He listened very attentively to my symptoms and then did an examination. He then had a colonoscopy scheduled for me in a timely manner. He is very knowledgeable, personable, attentive, and very kind. He is totally outstanding. I can't tell you how impressed I was. Dr. Lee-Kong and his team saved my life. After failing surgeries at another hospital, Dr. Lee-Kong accepted my case, I've been improving each day. He is a wonderfully talented surgeon with a great bedside manner. I truly love and respect Dr. Lee-Kong.

I would not recommend Dr Lee Kong based on having two consecutive surgeries due to not doing an HRA when one was needed, not knowing the necessity to prescribe antibiotics prior to surgery when it was clinically justified; prescribing pain killers which caused traumatic impactation and urgent intervention provided by a different surgeon, who saw into his blatant incompetence; and to top it all due to his recommending oncological treatment when it was unjustified.

The best of the best. I had a complicated issue and Dr. Lee-Kong was able to schedule surgery very quickly. He is calm, experienced, and expert at what he does. He made a stressful time better for me and my family.

Dr Lee-Kong is an expert in his field. I felt completely comfortable under his care and my surgery went great. I had to have a colon resection due to severe diverticulitis. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing to have colon or rectal surgery.

Surgery is scary. I had to have a colon resection due to severe diverticulitis. I consulted with Dr. Stephen Lee-Kong after finding him on this site. Dr. Lee-Kong is a consummate expert. I had a three-day hospital stay and four minor incisions, three no longer than one inch in length and one three inches. I was back to work in two weeks. Dr. Lee-Kong and his staff were always available to answer my questions. Dr. Lee-Kong is extremely approachable and friendly.
