Dr. Gundry: Beginning of a Medical Revolution
I haven't had an appointment with Dr. Gundry, but after reading several of his books & seeing him on 'Morning Joe', I was excited about his low-lectin diet. I started about 2 yrs ago with the diet. I got really serious about the diet 4 months ago when I was diagnosed with Sjogren's Syndrome. I had a procedure to have 3 stents put into my heart 2 yrs ago. i also fell, got a compression fracture at L4-L5. I was a mess! I am a single, childless 'CAT LADY,' so I do all house-cleaning, shopping, etc. by myself. The good news is that over the last 4 months strictly following his diet & mild exercise on my stationary bike (I turned 75 this yr), my bloodwork ordered by my cardiologist 2 days ago showed my LDL and pre-diabetic glucose had dropped dramatically into safe, healthy levels! I also had lost 30 lbs without really trying! Only 2 of my Univ. of KS doctors show interest in my story. When are Gundry-trained doctors going to be working in Kansas City, KS? I can't afford to go to CA.

Mother
Mother and sister say Dr. Gundry was wonderful and had seen him at Loma Linda. My mother had 10 kids, 1/2 of her kids had heart disease and now as adults, problems have surfaced. A daughter had a heart transplant and lived quite a few years with her new heart. A son in Gig Harbor has an ICD and heart pump and will probably need a new heart. A daughter had heart surgery as young girl, now has an ICD. A son Staten Island has an ICD. A son,(my husband) has had 3 heart procedures and an ICD last year, the stiff lead was placed in his tricuspid valve and causing Ascites, Edema(really bad) and is hospitalized right now because large doses of diuretics are not working and they tried IV, then the PUSH, which is helping a little.Gastroscope sample shows stomach infection. Once a week has to have Paracentesis or tummy looks and feels like he's having triplets. Mayo appointment is the end of April. I purchased Dr. Gundry's supplements recently, but tricuspid valve needs lead out of it. HELP!!

I learned about Dr. Gundry via an interview he did with Naomi Whittle who hosted 'The Real Skinny on Fat". Some of you may be familiar with this webinar that aired several months back in 2020. I have listened to Dr. G's interview and the wealth of knowledge he imparted many times over. I now have his book The Plant Paradox and am going to buy his cookbook too. I live in Vancouver B. C. and am planning to pay for a visit to see him before he retires. I want this doctor to write up lab tests and explain the results to me. I trust this doctor more than the ones here in Vancouver! The doctors in the United States seem to be much more into interrogative medicine. That is hard to find here. Merilyn Vancouver BC

So many reviews here not by patients -- I WAS A PATIENT FOR SIX YEARS!!! lol Only stopped seeing Dr. G because I moved away, but LOVED seeing him. Lab work was amazingly thorough, and he spent AN HOUR on EVERY VISIT going over the results to customize the care TO ME. I got down to my ideal weight without strenuous dieting, all blood and nutrient numbers right on the nose, huge improvements to mental and physical health. He listens to his patients -- you should too! HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION

I think Gundry is a quack. Why would a "renown doctor" be selling all this health care "crap" and harassing people on the phone to buy more if he was a well-known pediatrian? I know people who've stopped eating meat and are miserable without it because they think he is a Guru!

I believe Dr Gundry is a very intelligent man & find all his work very intresting and educational on health. I have been following his Lectin Free diet from his book “The Plant Paradox”). I also purchased his products ( Vital Reds & Lectin Shield.) I have been diagnosed with Hashimoto’s Disease & Fibromyalgia. Since following this way of eating & supplementing with these products I have lost 5lbs and my joints hardly hurt anymore. Thank you Dr Gundry!

I began to see Dr. Gundry after reading his book. The level of knowledge he has is astonishing but he has a way of explaining things in terms us non-Genius folk can comprehend without talking down to you. Since I started seeing hm I referred my father who at 88 years old drives two hours from Newport Beach to see him and it's been well worth it. They have good doctors in Newport Beach but they don't have Dr. G.

I watched one of your nutritional videos and may purchase your diet books and supplements to try myself. I'm a (former long-distance) runner, not overweight but often feel tired and have "gut" issues. Your background interests me as I have a son at Yale and a daughter (undergrads) at Michigan. Considering your amazing educational background and career journey, you didn't "need" to get into nutritional studies, so I truly believe it stemmed from your natural curiosity and personal experience.
