Dr. Steven Friedman, MD

Dr. Friedman saw me through two high risk pregnancies. He's whip smart, compassionate, and will take excellent care of you and your baby. He went out of his way to deliver my second born child himself, even when I was scheduled to deliver at a hospital where he did not yet have privileges (new facility). He made sure I was well days weeks and months after delivery. Frequently checking on me while I was in the hospital. Ensuring that I got an MRI when needed. He delighted in my newborns at my 6 week checkups. My son's know their birth stories and know they wouldn't be here if it weren't for Steven Friedman.

Dr. Friedman assisted with both of my high risk pregnancies, 6 years apart. While he seems odd and somewhat cold, his care for both myself and my child was the best all the way. Unfortunately, I was on bed rest for a long time so I got to know him better, but once you do, he has a dry sense of humor, very polite and very direct about what your options are. He will push you and make sure your baby is the number one concern (at least in my case where I was stable enough to be pushed).

It's been years, but Dr. Friedman was my perinatologist for all my pregnancies. He worked wonderfully with my OB/GYN to coordinate care. He and my OB did my c-section. When a nurse anesthetist showed up to administer drugs, he insisted on a anesthesiologist. When he discussed planning a c-section (something I tried to avoid), he read my personality and was very compassionate while convincing me that my baby and I would be safest if we did a c-section. Extremely proficient and caring.

Very cold and uncaring doctor. Knowledgeable, but terrible with patients.
