I've been a patient of Dr. Fehrenkamp for over 30 years for my Type 1 Diabetes. I'm in great control with an A1c in the low 6's He always spends plenty of time with me---never makes me feel rushed. He answers all of my questions thoroughly. And, he provides options and allows me to choose what I'm willing to do...but his recommendations are ALWAYS spot on and I ultimately come around to his way of thinking. Now both of my kids see him as well, one for T1D and the other for a thyroid condition. My

I went to Dt. Fehrenkamp with a pituitary tumor over thirty years ago. I was completely pleased with how he handled this issue and have trusted him with many other issues over the years. He is genuinely interested in my total health. I recommend him highly.

I have had Endocrinologists over the years and none are as bright or as competent as Dr. Fehrenkamp. I have never felt better or had better lab results.

The practice has deteriorated since the physician's assistant left. Dr. Fehrenkamp can't handle the patient load. The strain is visible on his face, in his demeanor and his complete inability to listen to his patients. The place is run-down and shabby. His comments regarding bloodwork reports right in front of him made no sense. He could not navigate his laptop or find printouts. I have to now find a new doctor and take my lab work there. I feel sorry for the office staff. He was rude to them.

Fehrenkamp is a competent doctor. He is knowledgeable and shares information about recent studies relevant to one's condition. However, he uses a lot of profanity and he once threw my records on the floor, because I did not remember when I started a medication. I also once heard a staff member gossiping. The final straw was when I was 17 minutes late to an appointment after driving 50 miles and they refused to see me at all that day. I am now seeking a new endocrinologist.
