Dr. Steven Cohen, DO

He made me feel comfortable the first time meeting him. He was very thorough in going over everything with me. Which also made me feel confident in him. I went back to him a few times after that also

Dr. Stephen Cohen is a fantastic surgeon and physician. Yes, I make the distinction because in addition to his undeniable surgical expertise, he is a kind, compassionate physician who takes the time to clearly explain the problems and potential solutions to the complicated illnesses that he treats, in non-technical language, to comprehensively address his patients’ surprise, concerns and sometimes fears. He saved my life with a complex Whipple procedure for a sessile polyp in my duodenum, complicated by infection after surgery. He and his team, as well as the nurses and staff in the remarkable new Kimmel Center, were wonderfully responsive and kind before and after surgery, during my hospital stay and the follow-up appointments. I recommend Dr. Cohen highly; he saved my life!

I had a 1:30pm Friday appt. with Dr. Cohen. The day before the appt. they asked me to switch to 9:30 which I did after switching around my morning schedule. After sitting in his reception for 1 hour and then sitting in the exam room for the second hour, I left. No one bothered to say anything. I never received a call from him or a staff member afterwards to at least try and explain. Terrible office and attitude.

Dr. Cohen is an amazing surgeon. He explained every detail of my entire experience. He is kind, caring and made me feel very comfortable . He put all my worries at ease. I'm beyond pleased that I chose him as my surgeon. I totally trust him. Dr. Cohen and his entire team were amazing. A GREAT surgeon. Thank you Dr. Cohen for your kind, caring perfect bedside manner, at a difficult time in my life you made me feel very confident and reassured on my prognosis. This man is amazing. Great personality and makes you feel calm with your procedure. I was quite nervous but after speaking to him right before my surgery, I felt a lot better & confident trusting him to my care. I was able to joke around with him which was great because humor helps me when I’m nervous. So glad I chose Dr. Cohen. Thank you for making a stressful time that much easier. You rock (and so did your surgical team)!!
