Recommendation
After an initial endoscopy was performed by a gastroenterologist, he referred me to Dr. Brandwein, who performed another endoscopy to confirm a potential issue. Dr. Brandwein took biopsies and the results confirmed a cancerous lesion. His professional opinion and subsequent surgical referral saved my life. He continues to routinely follow up with me on a regular basis and I couldn't be more grateful for his skill, expertise, care and compassion..

We are a “Need to know” family, so when my husband was brought in for EDKA condition, a CAT scan revealed a leasion on his pancreas. Dr. Brandwein made it a point to get us in for an endoscopic ultrasound ASAP. Since this was NOT the primary reason for his ER visit, it was not a priority.... but Dr Brandwein made it a priority, because he knew the unanswered questions were killing us. He did NOT make any promises he couldn’t keep. I found his bedside manner to be absolutely refreshing !

I have been going to Dr Esterbrook for some time now and during a endoscopy he found something in my pancreas tube. He highly recommend Dr. Brandwein to preform another endoscopy, which then lead to a endoscopy ultra sound. The problem was in a very difficult spot to get to and being the true professional that he is, I was referred to Dr. Ram Chattani at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston where i had the procedure done. it was a success and Dr. Brandwein knows his limitations. HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM!!

The doctor caused serious internal bleeding with the endoscope after perforating an organ by mistake. When I later asked to see another doctor in his group he refused to let allow anyone of the other doctors to set an appointment up with us. The doctor has a problem ego that is getting in the way of his patients care which is unfortunate. He has no problem telling you how good he is. If would be nice if he showed it. Maybe it is a blessing in disguise.
