Dr. Kim performed a 6 hour surgical procedure for my wife, removing cancer found in her colon. My wife said he was a kind reassuring Dr. and easy to talk too. My wife believes if not for his expertise as a surgeon, she would not be here today. We both would very strongly recommend Dr. Kim if your life depends on a successful outcome.

We wanted a second opinion for my moms diagnosis of cancer. We came to Karmanos and when we saw dr Kim, he was nice and very thorough in his speaking. But as time passed, mom decided not to have the surgery. We never heard from him again.. not even to check on her to see if she’s ok, holding on, just overall genuine concern. I feel like since she decided against the surgery there was no need for him to contact her(is) for anything.. most doctors just don’t care anymore, it’s a business.. the heck with patient care and well being..

This man called me personally, for a yearly follow up, to reschedule his appointment two hours later! He didn't want me to wait two extra hours in his waiting room! Unheard of!
