Dr. Stephen Wahl, MD

This doctor lacks compassion, he seems VERY concerned with 'the clock' and not willing to listen to the concernsof the patient. Won't be going back.

Dr. Wahl is amazing. I have very difficult glaucoma to treat. He has done surgery and now extensive follow up. He’s the best.

I have recommended Dr. Wahl to friends. Over the years I have had care from other ophthalmologists, and I feel totally confident in his care and knowledge. His medical and specialty training are unbeatable.

He is excellent. I highly recommend Dr. Wahl.

I called to schedule an appointment and was told the office required my credit card on file in case I didn't show up. It is a security issue to leave a credit card on file in an office. Dr. Wahl called and told me it is like a hotel or airline charging if you don't show up. I offered to come in and prepay for my appointment instead of leaving my card on file. Dr would not allow that. I respectfully think medical offices are different from hotels and airlines. There is no airline that keeps my credit card on file.

Very thorough and knowledgeable; specializes in complex glaucoma problems and surgeries. Can be a bit abrasive, but folks with serious eye problems are looking for a solution, not a new buddy.

I've seen Dr. Wahl four or five times for high pressure. He prescribed drops that lowered the pressure and schedules follow ups at intervals. I think he's an excellent ophthalmologist. He has a nice way of clearly conveying information. His staff is friendly, caring and efficient.

I found Dr. Wahl to be very professional, a bottom line person, right up front. He told me exactly what he thought my problem was and what caused it. He was understanding and caring, so confident that it made me feel confident. I usually have a hard time accepting bad news about my eyes. His honesty really helped me to trust. We need more doctors like him.

MY mother has been a patient of Dr. Wahl's for 10-15 years, tho this is the first time I've met him. I cannot believe how RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL he was. He embarrassed my 88 year old mother so terribly by how demeaning and rude he was. While she asked him how he was , He never ONCE asked about her health, or why she hadn't been back in 2 years and had been to another dr. out of state (all on record). She kicked cancer's butt, and def doesn't need to come back to this miserable human being

No training in communication or "bed side" manner. If you want a dr. that is rushed, arrogant and makes you feel like you are "bothering" him...this is your guy. One of the worst medical experiences in my life.

He is an arrogant sob that ruined my life. I wanted a second opinion, and he responded very unprofessionally. His bedside manor is also horrendous.

I had a terrible experience with Dr. Wahl. My first and only visit he yelled at me, rushed through the exam and gave me a wrong prescription. When I had glasses made elsewhere, they didn't work. So I paid another doctor to reexamine me to check Wahl's prescription. Wjith this changed prescription, I had to have my glasses redone. Dr. Wahl is a rude and angry man. I later learned from a friend that he yelled at her on her first visit and she never went back either.

Arrogant , seemed like my cataracts were not worth his time !
