This was 100% gold star treatment. From the moment I checked in, everyone was kind and professional. The nurses and medical assistants were outstanding, as was Dr Van Pelt. He listened to me, was courteous, professional and compassionate. He explained what would happen, with testing and an ex ray, and he explained the results of the testing and follow up treatment. I felt completely at ease and knew I made the right decision to come to AdvancED Urgent Care in Clark.

WE had an excellent experience with the Clark Atlantic urgent care Dr Van Pelt. He was professional, attentive, and compassionate throughout the entire visit. He took the time to listen to my concerns and explained everything clearly, ensuring my 8 years old son felt comfortable and informed. His prompt and efficient care made a stressful situation much easier to handle on thanksgiving week. I had a distressing experience with Dr. Stephen Van Pelt Jr. at Atlantic Medical Group Urgent Care in Clark. He accused me of hiding information about a hospital stay from four years ago, during which I was sleep-deprived and had just welcomed a newborn. Despite explaining that my cardiologist and neurologist had cleared me, he cut me off and refused to listen, making me feel attacked. Several employees informed me that Dr. Van Pelt treats people who look like me differently. They advised me to contact the director and fill out a survey. A compassionate nurse eventually helped, but Dr. Van Pelt threatened to fail me and insisted on a drug test, accusing me of lying. I spent $125 and was told to pay $65 more for the test, but due to a system failure, I couldn't complete it. I went to another location and completed the test stress-free. I will never visit Dr. Van Pelt again and advise others to avoid him. I will also report this incident to the director.

I went to urgent care in Clark. Dr Van Pelt knew what was wrong right away and gave me prompt care. He took time, explained everything and answered my questions. I appreciate his service and his down-to-earth manner.

Dr. Vanpelt treated me at Atlantic Health Urgent Care in Clark, NJ and was excellent. I sliced my palm open with an apple slicer. The cut was so deep where you could see the muscle. Dr. Vanpelt kept me calm (I was so nervous and scared of pain) and did an excellent job stitching my cut up. I had no discomfort or pain even when injecting me with the numbing solution. He was also gentle taking the sutures out and the scar is barely visible. Dr. Vanpelt is patient, understanding, kind, and caring and so was his assistant. Thank you so much Dr. Vanpelt for providing outstanding care!

Dr. Van Pelt described by problem in simple terms explaining the procedures that were going to be done and the medications he was prescribing. He took x-rays of my lungs at the facility which is very quick and convenient and I was relieved to learn I did not have pneumonia. This Atlantic Health ADvanced ED Urgent Care Facility has a great staff and with the type of support services you would find in a major hospital.

I saw Dr Van Pelt at Advanced Urgent Care today He was professional and took extra time to explain what my issues could be. He also was very thorough and did several tests to rule out things. I highly recommend him. I wish he took private patients!
