I was a patient at Sunrise Hospital in March 2019. He was assigned to my case as the hospital doctor. He was consistantly late in arriving, usually just before I would go to sleep, didn't have any insight into my post-surgery care, didn't seem to care about me as a patient. I would never recommend him and if you are a patient of his in the hospital, it's my recommendation that you ask for another doctor to be assigned to your case.

My wife was admitted to Sunrise Hospital and got Dr. Tam as her doctor. Bottom line is that he has no bedside manner, was very abrupt when he came in, did not stay to answer any questions so I had to chase him down at the nurses station to get information, and he provided little to no care without us asking for it specifically (like asking for pain medication or muscle relaxers for my wife's muscle spasms). Additionally, he is not a Blue Cross participating doctor even though the hospital is.

Very arrogant. If you go to Sunrise Hospital and get Dr. Tam, immediately demand to switch. He doesn't care for his patients.
