Excellent doctor
Paraphrasing from the end of our first appointment “It may take some time, but there is a ‘cure’. Do not settle for anything short of feeling good”. He is very knowledgeable. He’s not cuddly, but he is professional, prompt and caring. That said, if he’s seeing you for meds, he’s not a therapist. He’s a scientist. He treats me like an educated adult capable of understanding him. I don’t feel like he talks down to me. He uses medical jargon or “official” lay terms.

It's taken me 23 years to finally find a Dr who knows what they are doing. He can be abrupt but I feel he is just direct. He wants you to be better & I appreciate his no nonsense approach. I would recommend him.

He is a kind person. He knows what is he doing. He works and prescribes based on the symptoms and he seems to be really meticulous on assessing his patient. If you're searching for someone to turn the world to heaven for you look at the mirror, otherwise if you have psychiatric issues, I refer you to him.

Dr. Sobel is the first psychiatrist that has ever actually LISTENED to me! Sr. Sobel always involves me in the decisions about my care. Dr. Sobel treats me as an equal, not as a lower life form as some other doctors do.

Dr. Sobel has helped me tremendously. I have seen others before and have not improved. After years of suffering, I have begun to feel normal and at times even happy. I am truly grateful for the help I have received from him.
