I brought my fiancé to the ER where she was seen by Dr. Sanders. My fiancé was having back pain due to a fall when ice skating. She was explaining to the Dr that her back hurts when she tries to stand up straight. Dr Sanders didn’t seem to be listening what she was saying because he was looking at his phone the whole time. He mumbled that he will order and xray and left the room. I was not pleased with his unprofessionalism but she really needed some relief so I kept quiet. Someone came in the room and basically threw a jonnie at her and said she had to change and walked out. After the xray Dr came back in and said the X-rays looked fine and she just needs some ibuprofen. She tried to tell him that she took ibuprofen over the last 24 hours and it hasn’t helped. (She has never taken a narcotic for pain before and she was not asking for any) Dr Sanders said “Women that carry weight in their abdomen usually suffer from back pain” We both looked and said Excuse me?? Wow.

Dr Sanders is rotten
I went to the ED because my BP was elevated (new) and I was panicked. My BP was taken once in triage and then I was dropped off in a room. Dr. Sanders came in. He walked in with an attitude. I asked to have my BP taken again and he refused. I was not on a monitor. The nurse never stayed in the room. I asked to have my BP taken a second time and he refused s actually said “No we are not taking your BP over and over and over”. When I tried to explain why I was there and concerned, he interrupted and spoke over me. When I told him he wasn’t listening to me he said he was going out of his way for me yet he hadn’t even examined me yet. He dismissed my thoughts and left the room. With my purse still on my shoulder I left the room as well. I was not going to allow him to examine me. He is a joke and should not be trying to practice medicine.

Unethical man and hospital
This man was arrogant, spoke over the patient, did not listen to the patient. He was patronizing and dismissive. The patient left before they allowed him to examine them. An 8 minute conversation of this man disrespecting a complete stranger who has never been to the ED before. Shame on him. Then he lied in his chart documentation stating the patient insulting and threatening. The patient filed a grievance. The patient filed an addendum. This evil man could not quote patient when asked. He is full of lies. The hospital refuses to take any steps to remedy this with the patient. This place is a joke and the lowest of the class works here. Go anywhere else!

Zero stars if possible. I came into the emergency room suffering from severe chronic pain and this so-called doctor added more pain to my pre-existing pain problems. He certainly needs to go back to school to learn about treating patients with respect and how to properly treat patients in severe chronic pain. He did everything in his power to run the clock so his shift would be over so he would kick me out of the office. WITHOUT TREATING MY PAIN PROBLEM. I highly recommend seeking care elsewhere if you have this doctor since he's a terrible person overall.

Our experience with Dr Sanders was excellent. He got us right in to assess the severity of my adult son’s. condition. I liked his straightforward way of communicating and trust-forming style of caregiving in the setting of an ER. He shared his observations and concerns, gave my son relevant advise and listened to me (Mom) as well.

I've never been personally treated by Dr. Sanders and have only worked in patient care coordination. All I can say is if his attitude and treatment is the same with patients as it is other healthcare providers then avoid this guy like the plague. Lazy, careless and unwilling to go the extra mile to provide exceptional care. Do yourself a favor and go to Mercy.
