Wonderful doctor
Imagine being in severe, unstoppable, inescapable pain, from your right hip and lower torso progressively tearing themselves apart, for almost two decades of your adult life. Then, imagine how wonderful it now feels to have your femur and hip, un-twisted and repaired. Well, a few months ago, Dr. Stephen Incavo did that for me -- he rescued my seemingly-irreparable femur and hip, with a complex, masterful, hip revision surgery. Aiding Dr. Incavo were Collin and Angela and their teams, who deftly unfolded and smoothed all operational maps. And, at Houston Methodist Hospital, extended teams also excelled -- pre-, during-, and post-op. Before, I was twisted and in chronic pain; now, I can stand in comfort. My hip was revised, and hopes were restored. I am so thankful for their help. I hope they can help you too.

I would highly recommend Dr. Incavo.
I had experienced about 5 years of unexplained hip pain on the side of a hip replacement I had in 2012 with a different physician. I had seen 5 different hip specialist and they could not diagnose my problem. In the middle of the night while experiencing a lot of pain, I googled "unexplained hip pain after hip replacement surgery". I found an article written by Dr. Incavo and called the next morning for an appointment. I felt like God sent me to Dr. Incavo. He was able to diagnose my problem after having an MRI of the hip and then I had modified hip replacement surgery. The surgery corrected my pain. I have the utmost respect for Dr. Incavo. He is a quiet, mild mannered man who listens to the patient and is very patient himself. I will definitely see him again if I develop any further problems.

Dr Incavo did a wonderful job for me. He initially shocked me with his remarks. I work in the medical field. I found however I needed this. He did total knee replacement on my right knee. it was best decision I ever made. I wasted 5 yrs on extremely bad knee. When he asked me how was I walking I initially became upset. But after looking at my xrays and now seeing the change in my energy level and self confidence that I now have I realize why he said that. I highly recommend him to anyone! I can never repay him for what he did for me. His staff is just as considerate as he is.

A life changing experience. Highly recommended. From unable to walk for over a year, to walking 2 miles a day just weeks after surgery. 7/17, 8/30 Dr Incavo replaced both of my severely damaged hips, and I can say w confidence that I was in some of the best hands there are. His Team had every detail covered from start to finish, very informative, available, and made the whole experience pleasant and positive. Beyond impressed. And Angela is simply the best !! Many Thanks

Not a man to entertain for serious surgery. Lack of compassion, failure to communicate and answer direct questions with direct answers. Questionable legal and medical ethics based on personal experience. Seems more interested in "numbers" than practicing good medicine.

Dr Incavo replaced my hip in 1995 when I was 58 years old. I am now an active 84 year old and my replacement hip is still going strong. I was still skiing at 81. He spent a lot of time discussing with me the appropriate techniques and correct replacement joint for longevity. 26 active years later I am very grateful for his knowledge and skills. I am strongly recommending Dr Incavo!!!

I was only able to walk with a walker. I had an appointment, x rays and surgery scheduled promptly. The day of my visit I immediately went for pre op testing and surgery done within a matter of days. I had surgical pain of course but nothing like the pain I had been experiencing. Within 1 week I walked unassisted, not having to take pain medications and was back to work weeks earlier than anticipated.

I got a total hip replacement for severe degenerative arthritis. The entire experience was done smoothly and efficiently. From preparation for surgery to the inpatient experience and the postoperative rehabilitation process. It was all well coordinated. All of his personnel were very kind and efficient. I was in a position to be very critical of the process as I am a physician myself. The entire process was very favorable for me. David B.MD

The procedure was completed and I was walking on a walker the same day. There was minimal pain following the procedure, and I am already walking without a limp and the constant pain. Bravo...Doc Incavo and thank you for giving me a new lease on life at 62.

I needed knee replacement. Spent less than 10 mins with me. Told me to lose weight...I weight 112 lbs, 5 '4" Weight is NOT issue. Attempted to make appt with another doc in same office but they do not allow that! Go to Fondren Orthopedics - docs are much better.

I sought out Dr Incavo to repair the damage to my right hip which resulted from a fall and a failed surgery by another doctor. His response was immediate and he scheduled me for surgery immediately to replace my right hip and repair all the damage. I could not walk and was using a walker. The surgery was completed and I returned home after surgery and was able to walk with a walker. Home health for two weeks and three months of home exercise and I am walking well. Dr Incavo is an excellent doctor and I would highly recommend him. He told me what he proposed to do, how, long it would take to recover and what I could expect in recovery. He delivered on all counts. I am 87 years old and able walk further than a have for several years.

Dr Stephen J Incavo is one of the very best! I had need, after a major motor vehicle accident, of bilateral total knee replacements. I was in extraordinary pain and disability before my surgeries, being unable to walk, climb stairs, stand, or otherwise get around. Dr Incavo recommended total knee replacements for each leg. We scheduled my left leg surgery in July and my right leg surgery for September. Dr Incavo did an amazing job with both my total knee replacements. At 3.5 months out, I was able to walk, drive, climb up and down stairs, and engage in self-care. Dr. Incavo is the best in his field and I’m so glad I used him for my surgeries. I couldn’t be happier with my results. Dr Incavo’s whole team was absolutely wonderful and very supportive. A total knee replacement is not an easy surgery under which to go but with Dr Incavo’s excellent skills, I’m glad I had the surgery so I could have reasonable knee functionality back.

Dr. Incavo was highly recommend as the top orthepic surgeon's in Houston. He and his staff took the time to answer all my pre and post op questions, making me feel that I was their only patient. This is my second hip replacement and I could not be more pleased. I am two weeks post op and I am already walking without assistance. I highly recommend this brilliant surgeon.

I have had two hip replacement surgeries by Dr. Incavo. After the first replacement my decision for my second surgery was very simple, go directly to Dr. Stephen Incavo! He is one of the top orthopedic surgeons in the country in my opinion and extremely thorough, professional and has a terrific support team working with him. I have referred Dr. Incavo to a number of people in the past and will absolutely continue to referred others to him in the future! Dr. Incavo is the go to Orthopedic surgeon for my health.

I had a bilateral total knee replacement in 2015, which failed just a few months after a full recovery, followed by a double polyetheline spacer replacement in 2017, which followed the same pattern. My east coast doctors refused to do anything further for me, telling me to wear hinged metal braces for the rest of my life. Based upon my post-operative notes I researched what appeared to be the problem, and found an article in a medical journal describing post-TKR tendon and ligament laxity, which could be helped with a rotating hinged knee implant. This is a non-conventional treatment for someone in their early 60's, but I circuitously found Dr. Incavo who, upon examination and review of my record, agreed to do the RHK implant. Thank God! My world was growing smaller and smaller - I could barely walk 2 blocks; my future seemed dim. Dr. Incavo performed the procedure in mid-June and I am extremely hopeful it will be a success. I am so grateful Dr. Incavo was willing to do the procedure.
