He's rude - GO ELSEWHERE!
Was kept waiting 45 min. I came prepared w/ some notes on a notepad. The doctor entered the office & groaned saying "oh god, what is THAT?!"...never introduced himself...took many vials of blood & had me do a 24 hr urine test....which to date he has never followed up to discuss the results...he decided i needed to start on a medication but never prescribed it and when i researched it at home, i discovered I'm highly allergic to several ingredients. stood behind me & had me bend over squeezing my waist with no explanation as to what the purpose of that was...measured my height which i pointed out was very different to the height i have been for many years to which his answer was that he has no idea if i knew what I was talking about. His office has art and diplomas that have been damaged, water logged and are crinkled in their frames...an odd lack of attention to how that looks to patients. Lastly, he was so gruff & miserable, i asked if he liked his job. He shrugged. GO ELSEWHERE!

arrogant, incompetent, doesn't listen
I explained to Dr. Honig that I experienced a serious, known side-effect of a drug. He, then, tried to get me to take the same drug again. Fortunately, we live in New York and can see other doctors.

Dr. Honig is disinterested, rude, lacks compassion and empathy and has a very narrow prospective with regard to the field of rheumatology. of his field. I would not recommend him to anyone.

Dr honing was completely uninterested in talking to me or explaining any of the findings. He was very focused in trying to get me into a strong new medication but let the explaining all to his secretary. He basically pushed me out of his office. Time to retire

We in NYC are lucky to have access to smart, compassionate, cutting-edge doctors; this is not Dr. Stephen Honig. He showed up in the office more than an hour after his appointment with me, which his staff says is common. He doesn't explain as much as you can discover on your own on the internet, doesn't offer to answer questions, and in essence seems deeply disinterested. You CAN do better, for sure!
