If only he would have listened
I will agree he is a great surgeon, he did mine in 2018. But when I started having problems again I feel like he dismissed me. I did injections, physical therapy etc. I had no relief with either. Then I had to have a knee scope and I had a follow appointment and was updating him and he said “well there you go, problem solved with your back pain. NOT!! I got a second opinion with OU and now I’m having surgery for hardware failure and a screw has come out. I feel like he didn’t listen to me. If he only would have listened

During my first visit, Dr. Eichert spent the time to explain in detail what would be involved with my spinal back fusion. He was always patient and professional with me, but what really counts is the job he did. I'm VERY happy with the result of my back surgery! It has given me a new lease on life!

After spending a year with a doctor who cancelled my surgery five times, I found Dr. Eichert. After a MRI and, x-rays he was doing surgery on my neck three days later. My spinal cord was mashed from the front and back. He took out the old metal from a mid-nineties surgery and replaced it with new. I had surgery on the front and back of my neck within just a few days. I am on my way to recovery and I am so thankful for Dr. Eichert. I could have been paralyzed had he not acted in a timely manner. He is definitely a great surgeon and I recommend him to anyone needing neurosurgeon.

Dr. Eichert was very professional and explained the procedure I needed and why. I was in severe pain from a disk prolapse in my lower back. The pain I had after surgery was due to normal discomfort from the incisions and the healing process which was nothing compared to what I went in with. It was very helpful to me when he showed the results from the MRI on his computer screen so I could see what he was talking about and make a decision.

My husband ruptured L4 and L5 discs and after a week of severe pain just thinking he had pulled a muscle his MD referred him to Dr. Eichert and it turned out he needed surgery. My husband and I have both been very pleased and happy with Dr. Eichert. There were absolutely no problems with the surgery and Dr. Eichert really takes the time to explain everything and treat each patient with care and compassion. We would definitely recommend him. Also his office staff are great and there is very little waiting time.

I had back surgery with Dr. Eichert, he was very personable, compassionate and good about explaining the procedure in detail and in terms that I could understand. He came out into the waiting area after the surgery and explained again in detail to my family what he did during surgery and what to expect after and took the time to answer any questions we had. I would highly recommend Dr. Eichert as a surgeon, I have had great success with my surgery!

I was diagnosed with a Chari malformation and sent to Dr. Eichert. The best treatment was surgery. He explained it to me, so I understood. There were no complications from surgery or recovery. I could not ask for better. I will never be able to thank him enough. I got my life back. I would recommend him to my family and friends,

Dr Eichert done ACDF on me in 2012 at Miami Valley Hospital. I can’t say enough good things about this man. The only negative I can say is I hated to him leave Dayton. I was doing things two things after surgery that doctor Eichert said I could do that my neighbor had the same surgery at the same level by a different doctor & he literally about fell over when he seen me doing the things I was doing. He told me it took him 3 times as long to do the things I was doing. I heard other people say he doesn’t have a great personality but he was very nice & always joking with me & my niece to go along with his world class skills. I recently had another cervical surgery done by another doctor & all I can say is I wish Dr Eichert was still in Dayton he would of done this surgery. Norman, Oklahoma is lucky to have him & Dayton, Ohio lost a top notch neurosurgeon. You guys got a awesome doctor. Brian L

Dr Eichert saved my life. When no other surgeon would touch me, an 87 yr old woman with a broken C1 and C2 vertebrae, he stepped up and performed an incredible surgery on me. The surgery had no complications, the healing very speedy and the after care was superb. He is a very kind and engaging person who really cares about his patients. I thank God he was my doctor.

Very rude and he was a second opinion after surgery, after 3 other drs explained I needed another surgery he stated no surgery needed and told me it was a totally different issue. Got checked out by other dr and it is an issue with my back. Bedside manor was ridiculous as well. He was yelling at the nurses and just all around rude. Will not be returning.

Compassionate and caring along with excellent communication skills. Everything was explained to me in a manner that was easily understood. Dr Eichert allowed me the time ask questions that provided me the opportunity to decide whether or to have the surgical procedure. Surgery procedure has resulted in alleviating the pain associated with my degenerative disc disease.

I have had four back surgeries prior to seeing Dr. Eichrt. He is by far the best surgeon of them all. He is a "STEELY EYED MISSLE MAN"!!!!! He did a L2/L3 fusion and it came out perfect. I am now totally pain free. With Dr Eichrt, you are not just a number. He and his staff took the time before and after the surgery to fully explain things. They are most professional medical team I have ever dealt with. Craig Lucas, Norman OK

Dr. Eichert is direct, but he definitely keeps his patients in his best interest. You’ve probably already seen orthopedic and are referred to him, so now there is no beating around the bush. He sees the problem, gives you a brief overview, gives you options and let’s you decide. I had an ACDF surgery 3/18. 12/18 posterior c3-5 laminectomy & c5-t1 fusion. I had a couple problems in March. Dec’s surgery went amazingly well. I have complete trust with Dr. Eichert. Surgery was in Norman, OK.

I recently had surgery by Dr. Eichert and he is phenomenal! These poor reviews of him are unfortunate, and in my opinion incorrect. I am a 10+ year RN and I've seen my share of poor physicians and Dr. Eichert does not fall into that category for me. He's very competent, compassionate, and relatable. I feel he genuinely cares about his patients and their well being.

While Dr. Eichert's bedside manner was not the best, he operated on my bulging disc in my lower back and I've had wonderful results. I am totally free of pain. And my quality-of-life is 1000 times better. My father is now in need of a neurosurgeon and I'm 100% comfortable recommending Dr. Eichert. I believe that he is very good at his job. This is my personal experience.
