Draconian surgical methods
He will not treat a sinus infection with oral antibiotics but instead will give you ointment to place in your sinuses. Eventually, the infections and my sinuses got so bad I needed surgery. But that is not the worst part.. anywhere he cuts, he does not close up or cauterize. This caused me numerous complications, including severe pain, swelling, infections (he refused to treat with real antibiotics), and prolonged healing. As a result of not closing up the surgical sites, my sinuses filled up with large blood clots that he manually had to extract with a long metal instrument, weekly, and this lasted for months! As a result of his draconian methods, I have a prolapsed sinus, which Dr. Stephen Dent failed to ever mention (in spite of all my weekly complaints to him) and causes me great discomfort, grief, and numerous sinus issues. I will need surgery again and soon. It’s an ongoing nightmare.

Compassionate and knowledgeable
Dr Dent intuitively understands complex medical issues I face. I feel a sense of relief when I see him. I am confident in his medical skills. I see many physicians and he finds the answers. Dr Dent is kind, explains processes very well and gives me answers. He heals me! The practice is very busy because Dr Dent is an excellent physician.

Been to 4 ear nose and throat doctors. Dr dent is the best one and gets to the bottom of the isues and has a solution for them. Very smart Dr too knows his stuff. And keeps up with new treatments also knows that allergies have a lot to do with his job. And offers oral allergy treatment. He is kind and really cares about his patients. I have never had any problems getting appointment with him so the other people on here need to look up who they are seeing there is a big difference between a pa and a Md

Not a good experience at all. Mr Dent seems more concerned about cramming in the most amount of patients (money) in a day than actually helping people. Waste of time. And money.

Took time off work for an early appointment, filled out mounds of paperwork and waited over an hour. Finally asked staff what was happening and they said my appointment was scheduled for later that day. Hmmmmm! Wasted a lot of time here and finally left. Make sure you double check your scheduled time with them.

Since I had surfer’s ear, I went to Dr. Dent for advice. His staff explained clearly what the surgery entailed and associated costs. At my pre-op meeting with Dr. Dent, he answered all my questions and concerns, and made sure I understood the procedure and recovery. The surgery was scheduled for 1-2 hours, and was delayed because the prior surgery took more time than expected. My surgery was 2 ½ hours, so for myself as well as the earlier patient, Dr. Dent put in the time to insure success.

Never saw the doctor after months of visits & thousands of dollars. All of my appts were with PAs. When I complained that none of my ear & hearing issues were being addressed after all of those months, their office manager offered me another appt .... with a PA! Don't use this doctor. You probably won't get to see him anyway.

I spent 8 months & hundreds of dollars at this practice & not once saw the doctor. All of my appts were with PAs & there was no treatment of my conditions. They ordered test after test & did nothing with the results, stringing me along & charging thousands to my insurance. Office staff is unhelpful & defensive when their business practices & lack of medical treatment concerns are brought up. Read the Yelp reviews & those that aren't shown. Seems to be common practice for this place.

4 visits, thousands of dollars, and still no relief for my ear problem. Worse yet, I still haven't seen the doctor. Dent uses physician's assistants to take his place. I got his PA Bret Noland, one of the worst medical professionals I have met. It feels like talking to my mechanic about my health. He even suggested my ear pain was imagined because of my hearing loss. When steroids and diuretics failed to work he ran out of ideas but never thought it may be time to have me see the doctor.

Dr. Dent is an excellent doctor. He's very caring and listens very well. He was very compassionate before my thyroid surgery and made certain I had all my questions answered. His knowledge and professionalism are so reassuring to me and I would trust sending any one of my family members and friends to him.

I have to say this was one of the best experiences I have had interacting with any medical professional. I am lucky to be very healthy and rarely need a doctor but had a surfing incident that broke my nose. It happened on a Sunday, I called Dr. Dent's office Monday morning to be greeted by an extremely friendly staff and they had me in Friday afternoon. From the time I walked into the office until I left I felt like the most important patient. Every member of his staff were friendly.
