Dr. Stephen Carey, MD

He is a great doctor. I have gone to him for almost ten years and he always takes the time to really talk to you about your problems and works with you to help you understand what you can do to work toward the best possible outcome.

He explains what I have, How I can treat it or get rid of it or avoid all together, in plain talk. Great bedside manor

I've had Dr. Carey as my cardiologist for the past 3 years. My insurance changed and I don't think he is in the network, but called to see if he was or if there was a suggested referral. All I got was an abrupt "you won't get any meds refilled until you come in." I didn't ask for a refill and we never got to the referral discussion. I've always had good experiences with him and his staff until this.

Best Cardiologist I’ve ever been to. I now live in Austin and happily make the trip to keep him as my Cardiologist. His staff is great and they always make you feel welcome. I highly recommend him to anyone in need of his services.

Dr. Carey never appears rushed when speaking with you. He is concerned that his treatment is working effectively and you understand your condition and benefits of following his guidance. He has cared for me for years and I my condition is stable due to his care.

I have been seeing Dr. Carey for several years and have no hesitation in recommending him for cardiac care. Being a physician myself I have a good background to evaluate my own medical care and have always received excellent care and guidance from him. The first time I saw Dr. Carey he reviewed my condition and recommended the necessary next steps I needed to take. I had seen other cardiologists but had not been given as concise and appropriate course of treatment as given by Dr. Carey. Needless to say, I go back to him for my followup care.

Dr. Carey is hands down my favorite doctor in this area!

Excellent and efficient staff. Facility is easy to access, plenty of parking, clean waiting area, and clean examining rooms. My visit was with Dr. Denisse Sangha, Cardiologist. Very knowledgeable, articulate, with excellent communication skills. It was a difficult decision to change my cardiologist that I have been with for years. I was never just a number with him. However, the drive to Austin is not something I wished to continue doing... Upon arrival at the facility in New Braunfels I was impressed with the location and after meeting the staff and Dr. Sangha it confirmed that I made a good decision to change. The drive to Austin is stressful and stress is not good for the heart. LOL

As far as I am concerned, there are not enough stars to check to rate Dr. Carey. What I respect most is how Dr. Carey goes into great detail as to the results of all of your test. As an example my blood work which is done at all my wellness visit with my primary Doctor, which I request be sent to Dr. Carey. The primary will call and say blood work looks fine, have a good day. Dr. Carey will go over each item and let you know what he likes and does not like with suggestions on how to improve or have your primary look into the trends. I have been seeing Dr. Carey for near 20 years and a few years back when he left the group he was working with I was concerned. Where am I going to find a new Cardiologist as good as Dr. Carey. I thank god he opened as an independent almost a year later. My final words are, “If your looking for a Cardiologist, Dr. Carey is your man”.

Dr. Carey took time to visit with me about my heart and medications. He was patient and thorough with all information and questions. Also, his staff was friendly and professional.

I absolutely love Dr Carey as my cardiologist! He is truly concerned for his patients heart health, is a great listener and always up to date with what is going on in medicine and treatments. This was a telephone appointment visit. It went very well. He has a good sense of humor along with his awesome capability to know how to treat your medical issues.

I cannot say enough about Dr Carey and staff. I have a recurring Afib problem and receive appointments and/or returned phone calls quickly. I am 83 and not being able to breathe is scary for me and my husband.

Well Dr. Carey has been my cardiologist since 2005. He always takes care of any medical questions I have.
