Caution Re: Cataract Surgery & Vision Outcome
I would caution against using this doctor if you wish to be able to ask questions or express concerns. After the 1st eye's lens provided poor distance vision, he justified its outcome by telling me my Astigmatism was in a 1 % and my eyes were wacky. I paid extra for a Toric lens for the 2nd eye, but the distance vision is still blurry beyond 6 ft. Because I had a bad experience during the 2nd surgery and expressed my concerns the following day, I was told I made him 'feel like dirt' , 'I wish I'd never done your surgery', and accused of yelling at him even though I could barely get in a word during the so called 'discussion'. Also, following both eye surgeries, the 1% was changed to a 'bit of an astigmatism' and I was told my vision was great even though I'm essentially blind while driving at night. He does not seem to excel at refractory calculations and is rude, arrogant, and narcissistic. He told me to go elsewhere, which is fine, because I want a dr who listens to and respects me.

Mean and aggressive
I am totally confused by my 83 year old fathers appointment. This Dr Baynham literally yelled at him and pushed him. My Dad is in a wheelchair. My Dad wasn’t mad (they had messed up his glasses saying he didn’t need prisms and after a week miserable there was no doubt he did). My Dad actually went in with a great attitude about it- that they tried. My Dad’s nurse was so shaken up by the whole thing. My Dad just took it and felt he had to. I cannot imagine bullying an 83 year old in a wheelchair who was being nice.

Would not recommend this doctor, especially if you have a rare disorder that cannot be corrected by a common procedure. Refractions are definitely not where he excels. Although the staff is super nice, he is arrogant, rude and prefers to hear himself talk over hearing your questions or feedback. There are so many doctors that can perform common procedures, find another doctor that has compassion and conducts himself in a professional manor.

Dr. Baynham is a nice enough guy, but why have appointments if you have to wait an hour! It happens EVERY time unless we schedule it first in the morning. He has a big lifestyle to support so has to go through the patients and that he does -- spending little more than 5 minutes with my daughter to renew her contacts. I will say the staff in the optical store are very knowledgeable and helpful.

Very disappointed in this Dr. for myself,(I was rushed in and out all three visits) my daughter who was suffering migraines for years and when she went to another doctor found out her last two prescription lenses were too strong, and also my friend who went because she had crossed eyes and he did the same cataract surgery I had, then he made her eyes worse and she couldn't see at all in the eye he operated on. She ended up going to an opthamologist in Atlanta to try to get them "fixed". Dr Baynham is in it for the money, he doesn't care to help you. When you go in the next day to have the patch removed you look around and all you see are surgery rechecks and there were 10 people there at the same time for the same thing and I imagine he had another 10 come in after us. I feel he's a medicare fraud doctor and not in it to repair, help, operate, or make life easier for the patient. He's in it for the money and to make his life easier! I wouldn't take my dog to him!

My husband, children and myself have been patients of Walton Eye Care for years. We have never had anything but fantastic experiences. The staff is always professional and friendly. Dr. Baynham is both caring and a skilled surgeon. (In addition to our family’s normal eyecare, he did my LASIK surgery a few years ago). They also have a great optical shop and have even found us specialty glasses for various sports.

Had cataract surgery yesterday everything explained in detail office personnel is terrific, Dr Baynham is nothing short of amazing in knowledge, eye care and surgery procedures. I highly recommend this doctor. I don’t usually write reviews but I feel people need to know where to find the best eye doctor.

We waited 65 minutes before the doctor came in to see us. Then he was in there for a total of 10 minutes. They charge you a contacts fee which is a complete bogus charge. They also ask if you want a medical exam or vision which the receptionist couldn't explain at all. It made no sense.

I saw Dr Baynham today & my parents have been seeing him 12 years now! I have this "thing" with me or anyone touching my eyes so it has taken getting up the courage to see an eye doctor. My mother is a nurse & has had nothing but wonderful positive things to say about the dr & his staff. I have witnessed this first hand now. Don't believe anyof these neg comments. A VERY DOWN TO EARTH, CARING doctor &staff. Knowledgeable, & efficient. Not a long wait. But isn't anything good worth waiting for?

Would highly recommend. I have worn glasses since third grade. Dr Baynham did surgery on both eyes. I have not been able to open my eyes and see without contacts or glasses. Can't explain how wonderful it is to open my eyes and be able to see. Have nothing but good to say about my experience with him and his staff.

I just couldn't be happier. The staff is excellent. I'm one week after surgery. The surgery was quick and simple. I originally booked with a plastic surgeon. I cancelled because I really liked the way Dr. spoke to me. The way the assistant spent time with me. They made sure I was comfortable with no questions unanswered . I am recommending this office to everyone I know.

this is a very arrogant dr. After waiting almost 45 minutes he gave me all kinds of reasons to justify his making people wait so long. Then he told me he sees over 45 people a day, (because he is triple booking people) and told me I should find someone else because he want going to listen to me or have the courtesy to apologize. He needs to take a course in professionalism. Find another doctor, run dont walk.

I called the office to make a routine eye exam for my husband. I was told they did routine eye exam and filed insurance. The dr. did not dilate his eyes nor do much of a routine exam, the insurance was filed with a medical diagnosis instead of a routine eye exam covered by insurance. When I called the office to complain about the bill I received I was told they don't do routine exams. I couldn't figure out why I wasn't told this when I made the appointment. Would NOT recommend this office.

Dr baynham is only concerned about money and volume. Had a distortion problem with my progressives and my eyesight was getting worse..eye strain..headaches. went back for another exam and he blew me off with a really quick exam and said it was age related. He never dilated my eyes in either exam. Went to a different MD and they did a really thorough exam and figured out it was related to my glasses. ..problem solved. I went to a high Def lense and my eyesight is normal again with no distort
