Outstanding Doctor
I have been a patient of Dr Basheda for over 7 years and I have recommended him when asked. He takes the time to talk to you, listen to your concerns, and reply in clearly, no doctor speak. His office staff are all outstanding as well.

Worse Pulmonologist!
My Primary Doctor referred me to this doctor when I needed a Pulmonologist. She knew little about him but his partners left him in bad shape when partnership broke up and she felt sorry for him. I was very dubious about him because he was so full of himself and abrupt- he couldn’t wait to be done with patients. Staff was good to me. Later my Primary heard something negative through the grapevine and I was referred to a much better pulmonologist.

A very good visit
I had an appointment today with Dr. Basheda and had a great experience. The staff was welcoming, the male nurse was efficient though not talkative, and finally the doctor couldn't have been more pleasant, informative, and helpful, a complete one/eighty from some of these other reviews.

Glad I went to see him.
In my 1st 2 appointments I found him to be very knowledgeable, thorough, caring, he treated my asthma aggressively. His male nurse(?) also, very thorough, but as people mentioned before very terse. The front office is very kind.

Horrendous "patient care", he belongs a lab
I met this "doctor" in the hospital after being admitted because I couldn't catch my breath. at 4 a.m. I woke up to his snide voice asking if I'd smoked enough cigarettes. NO DIAGNOSIS JUST THIS SENTENCE. Needless to say, it was horrible every second he was anywhere around. After being diagnosed and treated by OTHER DOCTORS because he was busy with"SICK PEOPLE IN THE HOSPITAL< YOU KNOW???" (I use quotes because those are his words) after being released and sent home and told to "call for a follow up appt", along about the end of February of the next year, fully eight months of calling, I finally asked the staff who answer his phones if he's not going to see me please just tell me because I need a doctor to explain what's happening to my body, etc, HIS STAFF REPEATED "HE TREATS SICK PEOPLE IN THE HOSPITAL, WHY ARE YOU WHINING?" It sounds like I'm insane, right? Nope, this is how truly sue-able this whole group of yahoos are. If you value your life, sanity and peace of mind, NO BASHEDA

Dr. Basheda has the manner of an angry warthog, the awareness of a rutting pig and the beside manner of a mortician. Stay far away from him if you wish to be treated like like a human being. His staff are no better.

Rude Assistant
My Mom had her first appointment with Dr. Basheda. Dr. Basheda was nice enough, but his male assistant was one of the rudest people we have ever met. We should have known from the initial interaction. When asked about family history, my Mom stated that my brother and I (both in our 40s) have had asthma all of our lives. He said that did not matter since the visit was about her, not her kids. Then why ask about family history? My Mom has trouble hearing, so I repeated something that he said. He reached his arm out, shushed me, and told me that it was his job to explain, not mine. He also shushed her when she repeated something that he said. She is elderly and repeats directions in order to remember. My Mom is scheduled to go back next month, but does not want to interact with this man again. He was terribly unprofessional. We are looking for another specialist after this interaction.

Look elsewhere for a good, caring pulmonologist
My mom has been a patient of Dr. Basheda's for quite a few years . She suffers from COPD, Pulmonary Hypertension and a hernia which pushes up on her lungs making it harder for them to work, in other words, she needs excellent lung care. Dr. Basheda has seemed to care very little about helping her to manage her COPD. When we would ask directly what state her lungs were in and what stage of COPD she was experiencing, he would say, she is doing fine. Knowing how difficult it can be to get my mom out and to appointments, all needed tests, paperwork should be brought to our attention PRIOR to a visit, so that she can have everything looked at and diagnosed at one appointment. The last time my brother took her in, he said, "Well, I can't tell you much because we don't have a recent x-ray." When we are not told one is needed, how would we know to schedule one? During a recent pulmonary emergency, we met a doctor who gave us more direction in 20 minutes than Dr. Basheda has given us in years

I saw Dr. Basheda 3 times. During the first two appointments he was friendly, concerned and did an assessment. The third time, however, he asked questions in an interrogative way: Loud, and in a manner that was intended to shame me. When I could not perform the asthma test adequately he yelled: "How can I treat a patient that cannot even get to six?" He sat and stared at me. I walked out of the room, around the corner from the office and slid to the floor. That was over a year ago. I am writing now to say this: As it turns out I had and still have a very serious disease. My symptoms presented outside the typical pulmonary parameters of symptoms to Dr. Basheda. I went to another pulmonologist who stuck with me; ordered many tests; made referrals and a rare diagnosis was found. I hope Dr. Basheda reads this and NEVER belittles and shames another patient again. If he does, I suggest any patient walk out and don't go back.

He was harsh and dismissive with me too. Offered no help and prevented me from figuring out my issues since other doctors were counting on pulmonary analysis.

I am so thankful that I was referred to him. Nobody could explain to me exactly what was going on with my lungs reading the reports it was bad. He took the time and explained to me what was going on. He put me on each right medication, doing a lot better. I am very thankful.
