The Best!
I was referred to Dr. Bernik after being diagnosed with breast cancer for a second time, as my original doctor had retired. From the moment I met her, I was impressed with her compassion, professionalism, and expertise. Dr. Bernik truly cares for her patients and takes the time to thoroughly explain the diagnosis and treatment options. Her ability to make a scary and overwhelming situation more manageable is something I will always be grateful for. What stood out the most was her attentiveness - she always returned my calls and ensured I felt supported throughout the process. Her confidence in her surgical plan reassured me, and I felt completely comfortable under her care. I highly recommend Dr. Bernik to anyone seeking a knowledgeable, compassionate, and patient-focused doctor. She genuinely cares about her patients’ well-being and provides exceptional care every step of the way.

Dr. Bernik is the best surgeon I have ever had. She is so patient and kind helping me feel at ease through the whole process of getting a lumpectomy. Dr. Bernik made the whole process less stressful and scary. Her kindness and warmth on top of her expertise made it all much easier. Her team were also so helpful and nice. I am very grateful that Dr. Bernik was there through this process with me!!

Kind, skillful surgeon - absolutely terrific. I have seen several breast surgeons - Stephanie Bernik is, by far, the best. She is sympathetic, spends time with you, explains things, and is responsive. I am so happy that she performed my surgery - she was with me every step of the way and I have a great result. I highly recommend her - you will be happy you saw her.

She preformed my double mastectomy. Almost no explanation of surgical procedures from her or her staff. Total lack of empathy or warmth. Thank god I had a kind oncologist and friends who told me what to expect after my surgery.

I started out with Dr Bernik at St Vincent’s Hospital and followed her to Lennox Hill Hospital. She performed all 3 of my lumpectomies, preserved as much breast tissue as she could and you can barely see the scars (seriously). She is kind, compassionate, understanding and her patient care and bedside manner is beyond excellent. Thank you Dr Bernik.

I definitely recommend Dr. Bernik as your breast surgeon. She is very knowledgeable, skilled, progressive and compassionate. She performed a lumpectomy with mammoplasty on both breasts, and used a biodegradable implant called BioZorb. The surgery was a breeze. Despite the amount of tissue removed, my breasts look so similar to pre-surgery! I'm cancer-free now and I'm thankful she made my DCIS treatment go so smooth. Another plus is she teams up with an amazing plastic surgeon (Dr Dec). A team!
