The Dr is rude, the staff is rude and they keep a dog in there walking around and it's unsanitary. Some people have allergies and he does surgeries in there. The dog has extremely long fur.

Terrible Experience! I Recently visited Dr. LaPointe and was given a follow-up appointment. When I arrived for the appointment I signed in and waited approximately 40 minutes while several others who signed in after me were taken. When I went to the desk to ask when I might be called they not only said I didn’t have an appointment but that they had no record of me! I told them I had proof of it on my phone and they said not to bother, that they would try to fit me in. At that point I said no way and left. Why would they just ignore a name on the sign-in sheet and pass it over without questioning who the person was or why they were there? Will not be going back.

If you value your time and feet, look elsewhere. I saw Dr. LaPointe on 5-28-21. He put me in a boot and ordered MRI for possible stress fracture saying they would call with appt. After a week with no call, I contacted office. Order was resubmitted. After two weeks I called again and was told they had no control but would send yet again. After three weeks I attempted several times to reach Imaging center directly but they don’t answer their phone. I finally left a message and never got a return call. Isn’t it a little odd that I wouldn’t hear from imaging center for week after week and that a doctor has “no control”? I finally gave up. A while later I saw my PCP who contacted another imaging center and was called back same day. Got appt. in good time. Am now 7 weeks in boot. Have I been wearing for nothing? If not, has any problem healed by now and we’ll never know if there was one or not? I get MRI on July 17. Will never grace the door of Georgia Foot and Ankle again.

I was previously going to a orthopedic doctor that I was referred to from the ER in Carrollton for a severe inverted ankle dislocation. The doctors their never took time to review anything! So after a long agonizing couple months of not getting better and being ignored with my concerns I decided a 2nd opinion is a good idea! Luckily I found Dr. LaPointe! He took the time and explained everything to me on my X-rays, and LISTENED! Very knowledgeable guy! I’m finally on the road to recovery!

This is a great Dr. He is very knowledgeable.Do not listen to any negative reviews about him. He is not arrogant, he is kind and knows his stuff. If you want to get better go see him. I went to several dr.'s before him, nobody could fix it but he did. His wife was super helpful and sweet as well. Great staff!! He does have a busy office though. He is worth it. I wouldn't go anywhere else but to him.

Very rude, very arrogant. Does not consider the opinion of patients. Not personable . Bedside manner horrible. What's the point of being a brilliant surgeon or physician if you turn off your patients and make them feel uncomfortable? Less ego more kindness.

Best Foot Doctor in Rome Georgia by a country mile. Dr. Lapointe knows what he's doing and uses the newest and latest techniques to fix whatever problem you have with your feet. Dr. Lapointe has hospital privileges . He likes to work in a sterile environment . The other foot doctor in Rome doesn't have hospital privileges and has to do his surgeries in his office. Don't take that chance with the other doctor as you can't be certain of a sterile environment .

After sitting 1.5 hrs found out doctor was at his doctors. Never really got to meet the doctor as I finally left at the 2 hr mark. Had to make another appt for an ingrown toenail that was highly infected. So 1/2 day plus another whole day off for this. Not impressed at all. I actually referred to this doctor but will be sending to the new podiatrist that I found.
