Dr. Stella Walvoord, MD

Would not recommend. If you have any type of anxiety, you're wasting your time.

Dr. Walvoord is the most AMAZING Gynecologist I’ve ever seen. She is compassionate, thorough, caring ,spends time making sure your questions are all answered in depth and detail. She is the BEST doctor I’ve ever seen.

Caring, Skilled, Compassionate. Best ob-gyn ever! Each time I saw Dr. Walvoord, I was impressed by her. She listens intently and gives excellent feedback, is very caring, and follows up well. She is always cheerful, and makes me feel relaxed. If there are any options for treatment, she will present all of them to you and let's you decide what you feel is best for you. She encourages questions, which are answered thoroughly, including my husband's. She did my hysterectomy in 2018 at Patewood Memorial, it was very successful. My protective husband was also very impressed by her competency, professionalism, the time she took to answer questions, and her cheerfulness. My husband stated if he were a woman, he would want her to be his ob-gyn.

Hospital made the appointment for an endometrial biopsy. I called a few days before to explain my panic attacks with doctors plus I heard this was a very painful procedure and no anesthesia or numbing is used. I asked if there was any way we can do with anesthesia and was told no-no other option-and was told it was ok to cancel the whole thing. Was surprised a doctor wouldn’t call to work something out rather than not have it done. Am too panicked to make an appointment somewhere else now. Wrote exactly what happened on their Facebook reviews and instead of maybe messaging me to work something out, they just deleted my review. So if they have all good reviews on Facebook, that’s why. So disappointed.

Felt very comfortable with her. Very understanding and answered all of my questions. She was awesome!

Came across as dismissive, lacking empathy and understanding towards our concerns. We were truly taken aback by how we were treated. Sincerely hope this lack of professionalism is not the norm for Dr. Walvoord.

She is exceptional! It’s never fun to go for your annual physical, however, she lightens the tense mood with her witty personality. She makes you feel more like a friend than just a patient. She truly cares about each person that comes through her door. I feel blessed to have her as my doctor.

I felt immediately comfortable with her. She made me feel heard and in good hands like no other doctor at Greenville obgyn. It's obvious that she loves shat she does and that she truly cares about her patients.

She is very knowledgeable, and eased my mind when I had questions. Thanks for the excellent care!
