Dr. Klein is an exceptional doctor and surgeon. I started working with him in 2007 after researching bariatric surgery for weight loss. From the start, I was surprised at how thorough he was. He takes a lot of pride in his specialty and he gets deeply involved with each of his patients to ensure the best outcome. He takes his time to explain everything in depth, even drawing out detailed diagrams to make sure I know exactly what is going on or what to expect. He sets a high standard for his patients which is part of why my surgery was such a success. Years later when I had trouble due to another surgery that impacted my bariatric surgery, he took on my case and stayed with me every step of the way through a very long treatment and recovery process. Expect to wait for office visits because he is always busy but it is worth it if you want the best doctor caring for you. When he consults with you, he gives his full attention and encourages questions when you’re unsure.

Dr. Klein is a gift to medicine. I have several chronic health issues and this man has increased my quality of life exponentially. Visiting doctors makes up a portion of my time and there are none out there like Dr. Klein. He will spend as much time as you need to ensure you’re getting the care you need. He’s unconventional in the best of ways; he’ll go above and beyond to meet your needs. I can’t say enough good things about him and I’m incredibly grateful for all he’s done for me (and my mom- another patient of his!).

Dr. Klein is a very thorough and caring surgeon. He can be a bit gruff but don’t let his manner fool you. He takes a lot of time with each patient to be sure that they fully understand all of their options and the pros and cons of each. He encourages you to ask questions and actually listens to them and takes the time to hand write everything out for you so you have the information later to refer back to. Because of this, he is usually running behind on appointments, so expect to wait. Don’t worry though, it is worth it. I am extremely happy with the results of my Roux-en-y Gastric Bypass and (two years later) Hiatal Hernia Repair and Abdominal Wall Reconstruction. The follow-up care after both surgeries was excellent. He expects the best from not only himself, but his staff and everyone else involved in your care.
