My name is Gary Shafranski. I had a ankle replacement performed in May of 2021. I was scared to have a ankle replaced because prior to mine being done I had never heard of a ankle replacement. I researched for a long time to find a Dr to help me repair my ankle but replacing it was not one of the solutions I thought would be performed. After talking to Dr. Graves I felt very good about him performing this procedure. I'm from Sierra Vista Az so its a 3 hr drive to Phx. During our meeting he told me that for me to resume normal activities that an ankle replacement would be the best option. I already had two back surgeries that resulted in a drop foot so walking is not one of my strong suits. So I had the operation. It's now been 2 1/2 years and its been a blessing to have had that operation. My ankle swells up sometimes as he said it would but it doesn't hurt and the swelling goes away usually within hrs. I play golf, pickleball and work around the house often. I was 73 when I had the operation. His office visits were efficient . He explained everything in detail before and after the surgery and I can't say enough good things about him. I would recommend Dr Graves for any ankle problems.

Dr. Graves is best for the complicated foot and ankle cases. We were told that and it is true. He restored my foot with reconstructive achillies tendon surgery and I am forever thankful for this kind, compassionate and talented Doctor. His staff is great. Office visits and follow-ups were fantastic. Surgery went very well. He is a blessing! Thank you Dr. Graves - Norm C

I have been under his Care since January 1998. He has done 30 plus surgeries between both me feet to rebuild them after I fell 32ft off a roof exploding both calcaneus. Dr. Graves is very skilled in what he does. Explains what he sees in films in layman's terms and will answer any questions asked. Is very compassionate and truly cares about his patients. Does not hurry visits. I would recommend him to anyone with foot or ankle problems.

I have been seeing Dr Graves for 4 years due to a work comp accident. He has performed 4 surgeries on my Achilles tendon. He has never stopped trying to correct my injury. He is extremely knowledgeable and is a very kind person. He always takes the time to explain what the problem is and what his approach is going to be. I would highly recommend him and his assistant Kim.

I saw Dr. Graves for about 10 years, 16 surgeries, Ankle replacement surgery and care. After 6 yrs I asked him to evaluate my lack of ankle motion. He had never done a motion evaluation since I starting seeing him. He blew up, quote; If you are not happy with my service, why don't you go find yourself another doctor or better yet get yourself a LAWER. A few years later I contracted mercer and he wanted to remove my leg. After a review by a care nurse watching him handle open wounds, I got out.

Dr. Graves is exceptional. He's very smart and first rate in quality of care, and also extremely personable and caring. He knows how to listen and also how to explain. I had tendon surgery, and i wouldn't consider any other surgeon after benefitting from Dr. Graves's care.

I saw Dr Graves for my right ankle. He attempted to do a total ankle replacement, that didn't work. So he tried fusing the joint, twice! after the second time my ankle is fused at 71'. It is suppose to be 90'! I am having another doctor correct this, since walking on my heel alone isn't working! I have my doubts about Dr Graves abilities.

I have seen Dr Graves for two separate injuries and both times the experience has been excellent. He does everything he can before he even thinks about doing surgery. I have never had a bad experience with Dr Graves or his staff. Wish he had an office closer to Glendale, but he is worth the drive. I would highly recommend his office to everyone.

I have seen Dr Graves on 3 separate occasions to repair or fix past surgeries that others had performed. Dr Graves is very conservative and takes ample time to diagnose and decide on a solution. He not only corrected but fixed my foot issues for good and I have no more pain aftere 20 plus years of agonizing pain. He also has fixed my sisters feet and is very happy with him as well.
