Terrific Clinician and Brilliant Diagnostician
Dr. Raviv has been my pulmonologist for 6 years as of this Fall. Given my chronic illnesses, I have outlived the vast majority of people with the same conditions by at least 4 years. Dr. Raviv is like a clinical detective. She determined from images from 2014 (2 years before I met her) that I had the same disease, which she began treating me for in 2016. Neither Radiologists nor my PCP informed me of the condition ... they simply told me that I didn't have lung cancer. Aw shucks, that's like a fellow who goes whaling and fails to mention that he got bitten by a shark. So, over the course of my long relationship with Dr. Raviv, she has been navigating me through the vulnerabilities and issues associated with my disease. Her staff have been very efficient and kind. She has enlisted other resources as needed and conferred with them to ensure that the Team is sharing the same playbook. What I have noticed from a few patients is an entitlement attitude. It is a North Shore PITA thing.

She seemed a little scatterbrained. Her office was disorganized, and she came in with the wrong chart, and then took forever to get the right one. She also didn’t really spend much time helping me. Spent about 2 minutes as a first time patient with me and then abruptly left the room. I wouldn’t recommend her to anyone.

Do NOT visit this doctor. She neglected to recognize my serious medical condition. She said "I might have asthma", brushed me off, and then charged me $1000 for the meeting. I was later diagnosed with COPD by a more credible and professional doctor. She has very poor medical and interpersonal skills, and should not be practicing medicine.

She is a very poor doctor. She was condescending and rude, and she isn’t very concerning about the patient.

Excellent medical practitioners are as much artistic in choreographing treatment as they are analysts of patients' symptoms and scientific detectives. Her thoughtful diagnoses are rendered only after she is confident of their accuracy. Impossible to imagine a more brilliant and patient-focused pulmonologist.

This woman is one of the absolute best professionals I have encountered. She made a couple of very important decisions regarding my respiratory condition, which were correct, in spite of others believing otherwise. She has come to check up and visit when I am hospitalized and when I was in ICU back in Feb '15 she came in and prevented intubation, kept me on CPAP. When released, put me on a regimen that kept me well until I got flu and pneumonia to go with my COPD in early Feb '18.
