after having procedure and calling about how i felt the next day, the assistant told me to call GI doctor or go to urgent care only for them to refer me back to this doctor. this doctor is suppose to be helping, but would rather pass me on to someone else. I will be changing doctors to some one that cares about their patients.

Excellent doctor
I am very impressed with the staff of Cypress Hematology and Oncology. My husband Bob has had a very confusing medical situation for about four years with many things going wrong. We saw Dr. Stacey Parker-Brueggemann who was down to earth and took time to answer all our questions. She spend hours and hours, just like a detective, going through what has been happening with Bob's hemoglobin over time. I believe she has pinpointed the process going on in his body. She did not use the word 'cancer' with us, instead she described the process of what is happening with the DNA in Bob's bone marrow. It makes more sense to us, especially with our prayer work, to focus on the symptoms and processes in the body rather than a diagnosis that is an unchanging state of being. Also, the staff has been wonderful to work with. They are friendly and supportive. Truthfully, I walked into the oncology infusion center with dread for Bob's first treatment. To my surprise, it was warm & supportive.

Very caring physician
Dr. Parker has been treating me for a few years. She never makes me feel rushed. She listens and gives me the opportunity to ask questions. She always reviews my other doctors notes, imaging and lab work. She collaborates as needed. I trust her to care for my condition and complex medical history.

Poor Experience
Great front desk, amazing. Great nursing staff. Well cared for, Easy to schedule appointments.Poor Doctor experience: Provided very little guidance, or detailed information. Poor follow up. No one followed up to review bloodwork results with me, or explain them. Just get results in portal. Not open to questions, Not available. Poor admin portal staff. Very time consuming, sending repeated messages without answers, and requesting bloodwork be shared with other docs for collaboration was nearly impossible.

Dr. Stacey Parker Brueggemann is an oncology expert. She is well prepared, provides a wealth of information, listens to concerns, and addresses questions. She does extensive testing prior to finalizing treatment decisions. Dr. Parker is calm, highly intelligent, shares her thought processes, and is very proactive in preventing side effects related to treatment. After seeing her for the first time, we immediately cancelled the other 2 oncologist appointments we had initially made. Shortly thereafter, we had a concerning medical issue early morning outside office hours that threatened to derail an important test. Dr. Parker returned our call within 2 minutes with a solution that worked and worked quickly. Now, after 6 months, we are even more certain that we are in excellent hands.

Being treated for a rare Oncology related disease. Dr Parker has no knowledge, refused to gain knowledge and any questions or “common” side effect to the disease she refers back to primary care. Claims no scope to do anything. Passes the baton to others to only be referred back to her. Conversations regarding disease come from a packet that she reads. Explained new symptoms and was told concerns are not on the packet so there for cant be related. Although told by other providers and her own team that the symptoms are related. Her own medical team shake their heads with disappointment.

Doesn't communicate well with patients. Seems very disinterested in her patients. Untimely is getting test results back to patient. Example, she authorized a bone density scan for me, which I did. I had had one several years prior, and results were very good. No news is good news, right? Wrong. A year later, at my next oncology visit, she says, oh, by the way, you have osteopenia. During that year between the scan and the next doctor visit, I had some dental grafting done--multiple times, because it wasn't taking like it should. Come to find out after going through all that, a quite possible reason was my decrease in overall bone density. Had I known, I would have shared that with my oral surgeon. Needless to say, I will not schedule a visit with Dr. Parker again.

I made a complaint to a girl named Elizabeth about an appointment that I didn't get to have. She said she would get back with me and never called. I called back and talk to a guy named Josh twice who more or less blew me off as if nothing was wrong.
