I saw Dr. Divi about my lower back pain L5 S1 Spondylolisthesis. He was super nice and explained everything in detail from my xrays. I am very impressed by him and he made me feel comfortable with my plan going forward. Thank you again and he is a world class surgeon!

I’ve had routine lower back pain for several months and Dr Divi has been extremely unhelpful. He has not been able to diagnose my issue and has instead floated a handful of possibilities. He’s recommended no treatment options and only chats with me for 2 minutes before running out. I have to come to him and his team with options myself, and he just passes me to the pain clinic who has also been unhelpful. He has 0 empathy and my back is still in pain. I’m finding other doctors who will be more helpful

Dr Divi was informative and transparent throughout the entire surgical process. Hopefully I’ll never need him again but if I have future back issues, I would NOT hesitate to call Dr Divi. Loved the experience all things considered.

Dr. Divi performed a micro Discectomy on my L5-S1. I was unable to walk and barely able to make it through a day without heavy medication. After surgery, ALL pain was gone. 6 weeks post surgery and feel great. I couldn’t be any happier!

I FEEL GREAT! All of my adult life I have suffered from back pain. I had different levels and locations of pain daily. I was never pain-free except for a few days after an injection of Lidocaine and Steroids. I was at the point where it was very hard for me to walk my little dog, Joey around the block. Long walks were out of the question. On December 8, 2022, Dr. Divi performed back surgery on me at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Now, 3 months out I am a new person. I have been with back pain and on pain medication since 1997. When I became a patient at Northwestern Spine Center in 2021, Dr. Divi thoroughly explained my condition and options. He was honest and straightforward in addressing all my questions and concerns. Most importantly, he was knowledgeable and so confident that he would be able to relieve my pain. His reassurance was the deciding factor in my decision to have surgery. He explained how he would perform the procedure and all went according to plan. I had my surgery on November 10, 2022. I am now in PT and continue my follow-up visits with Dr. Divi. I am pain-free and no longer take any pain medication! I am grateful for the excellent quality of care I received and I highly recommend Dr. Divi and his team at Northwestern Spine Center.

Dr. Divi performed my bilateral lumbar decompression surgery. I suffered from extreme sciatic nerve pain and was referred after several other treatments failed. Had lower back issues for over a year and couldn't walk any distance. Went to Northwestern and the diagnostic process was very methodical. While determining root cause of my issue seemed to take longer than I hoped, I firmly believe this helped pinpoint my issue in order to plan the least invasive surgery. Dr. Divi is the gold standard of physicians! My husband had to have emergency spinal surgery in the middle of the night to prevent permanent paralysis. This was overwhelming news, but Dr. Divi was simply incredible. He called me to explain the situation, how the procedure would go and asked if I wanted regular updates. He called me personally when the surgery was over to once again explain the issues and what he had done. His skill saved my husband's spine and avoided him being permanently paralyzed. His follow up was impeccable as well. He stayed very up to date on my husbands' daily progress and was always willing to take as much time as we needed to ask questions, etc. I will never be able to thank Dr. Divi for his surgical skill and his human compassion.

The surgery was a success. I am very happy with the results. I have a lot of problems with the degeneration of my bone disks and vertebrae from post Cancer chemo and family genetics.
