Dr. Surya is the BEST. We have no information where she went when she left UCF. Her patients love her, still need to be treated under her care and will follow if she's still in the central FL area. Does anyone have any information on where she's practicing?

Dr. Surya is the most outstanding doctor that we have visited. My daughter is a very complicated case; Dr. Surya not only took the time to figure out and take care of her endocrine issues, she also was the only doctor to “think out of the box” for several of her other unexplained medical issues that no other specialist bothered to listen to since it wasn’t their specialty. She has exceptional medical skills and knowledge and goes out of her way for her patients. We have not been able to find any other specialist like her in the central Florida area.

I loved Dr Surya, and I'm saddened that she has left UCF. She took really good care of her patients. She even called me on a Sunday to discuss results of my lab test. How many doctors do that nowadays? I would gladly follow her if she's still in the Orlando area.

Absolutely great. She is one of the best Doctors in this area. She knows Internal medicine as well as her speciality namely Endocrinology. She is very patient, explains well and her diagnostic and treatment abilities are outstanding. My wife and I are both her patients. Hopefully, She will stay in the growing Lake Nona area.

I have been a patient of Dr. Sowmya Suryanarayanan for over a year. She has treated me for a thyroid condition and diabetes. I am 72 and keenly aware of Dr. Surya's brilliance, compassion, kindness, honesty, quality of care, and her ability to 'teach an old dog new tricks.' Above all she is an educator who takes the time to explain in terms I can understand how I can become more healthy and feel better. She did not balk at my very high A1C, my age, or my other medical issues - she just lovingly explained what choices I had. Dr, Surya encouraged me to research equipment, insurance coverage and price. Now, 7 months after showing me how new technology could help me and insisting I could learn how to use a continuous glucose monitor and insulin pump - even though I was afraid to try - with her help I did learn! My Type 2 diabetes, which had become insulin dependent for years, is now controlled thanks to her. I know there is no better care anywhere. Dr. Surya is my hero!!!!

Dr. Suryanarayanan is a fabulous doctor. I cannot say enough wonderful things about her. She is caring, patient and listens to her patients. I had a ton of random symptoms that I had been repeatedly brushed off by other providers. With Dr. S she listened and I was diagnosed with an uncommon condition within a month. She made certain to get my in with the surgeon quickly, calling and talking with them personally. I’m lucky to have her as an endocrinologist!

Dr. Surya combines being a wonderful clinician, having broad medical experience, and being enthusiastic about medical research, and academics. She has a rare talent for seeking the best approach when faced with endocrine problems which complicate other medical issues -- a remarkable willingness to look at the broad picture and treat a patient as a whole being rather than as an isolated problem. I am a complete fan.
