I never met this doctor. I was searching for a new primary care physician. This was a brief telephone interview. This doctor had some of my medical records. My primary diagnoses are hypertension and heart disease. She asked no questions regarding these. She noted I was on an antianxiety medication. She said I would have to stop taking it immediately. She prescribed an antidepressant with some serious side effects. She said she would not see me until I stopped the antianxiety med. Never once did she mention my heart disease. She listed my diagnosis as Adjustment Disorder. This conversation lasted about 10 minutes. I had to cancel the next appointment as it was to be in two weeks . Nothing went well and I had no one to call if I had problems. I am an RN with over 30 years of experience. This was a terrible experience. She did not listen and sounded angry.
