Trust Was Broken, and the Records Now Follow Me
I was Dr. Sonya Ehresmann’s patient for several years and really respected her. She was warm and thoughtful in person, which makes this hard to write. At my last visit, she suddenly began to cry and left the room without explanation. I felt I had caused it and was left alone, confused and distressed.I later requested my medical records, hoping to glean clarity about her behavior. Instead, I found multiple inaccuracies—things I never said or did, and assumptions that cast me in a negative light. Some felt not just wrong, but cruel. In focusing on one misrepresented issue, she overlooked other important aspects of my care—like age-related transitions and preventive screenings that are typically recommended for women over 50.Because of her documentation, I now face serious challenges accessing safe care. I trusted her, and that trust was broken.I’m sharing this not to harm her reputation, but in the hope that she reflects on how her behavior and charting impact patients.

Very caring
Dr Ehresmann is very caring & thorough. She listens well to my concerns & explains thoroughly. If it is not her area of expertise, she refers me to the right specialist & getting a preauthorization is fast because she or her assistant works on it asap. She is very understanding of my health concerns.

I already left her
Telehealth
She was of absolutely no help when I scheduled a telehealth visit during the pandemic to determine how she and I would handle things and what she could prescribe to me if I got COVID. We went round and round in circles. Was she even capable of listening? She was the opposite of Dr. Longo. I have moved on to a different doctor who seems at least basically competent.

After a rocky start…
I was looking up contact info and found ratings for Dr Ershmann. I, too, was a patient of Dr Blanco and a big fan. When assigned to Dr Ershmann, I was underwhelmed during our first couple of meetings. However, since then, I have been greatly appreciative of her growth in the areas of: listening, explaining, referrals and general care. She has proven over and over to be responsive to me in person, as well as, my email communications. When I have asked her very specific questions about some of my more complicated issues she is clear and concise and ensures my understanding.

Don’t waste your time!
Ehresmann is the WORST! When Dr. Lorna Blanco (who was fantastic 5 Stars!) retired Ehresmann was her replacement. I figured she would he good based on her reviews from where she previously worked. She was okay the first year but year after year has gone down hill. She never follows up on e-mails or text messages. She sends in the wrong labs for blood workup and takes 3-4 months to get an appointment and then spends maybe 10 minutes with you. She does not listen or care about your needs. I think she is just concerned about getting to the next patient. More patients more money? Who knows, she is just bad!

Okay
Because I still miss the dynamism and thoroughness of the doctor this one replaced, Dr. Lorna Blanco, I’ve decided I’m going to look elsewhere. Dr. Blanco dove deep in our interactions, and meds weren’t the go-to solution to everything. Dr. Ehresmann is easy-going and likable enough, but I feel the visits are very routine.

Not professional
Since the beginning, I did not have a good experience. She sent me to a wrong lab that my insurance did not cover. It costed me a lot of money. However, I gave her benefit of the doubt and still visit her for few times. Until recently, I was sick and need to see her but she refused to see me after couple rescheduled to see her and she still does want to see me. Just don't understand why doctor refused to check on sick patient.

Dr. Ehresmann was spot on in her recommendation for an issue I was having. I have seen her for an annual check up too and she was great. She doesn’t rush, she is kind, she listens, she explains her diagnoses and course of treatment. I think she is great!

Do not see Dr. Ehresmann if you want a caring, compassionate health provider. Any competent doctor can provide their professional advice - that's a baseline requirement that patients should expect of their care provider. But we should NOT settle for dismissive, judgmental doctors who appear to be more concerned about ordering tests & prescribing medication without knowing a person's full medical history.

This doctor took over Dr. Blancos' office and so far I have absolutely nothing good to say. 1st meeting she denies my well check because she is new and needs a full accounting. Basically comes down to fee versus no fee. Next I set up a web appt. After 35 min of sitting on the site waiting for her to show, I give up. I call the office to cancel. This woman is adding to the downfall of this office. Wait times should never be more than 15min.
