Dr. Sonika Momin, MD

I felt nothing but ignored by Dr. Momin and her staff. I tried to establish new care with her and sent her messages and weeks went by before anyone would response to me. If any response. Many times my question’s just went unanswered. As a medical professional, this is completely unacceptable. I will not return.

I saw Dr. Momin several times over the course of a year or so. I initially thought she was good but over time found her to be condescending and judgemental. I did not agree with her extreme reluctance on some medications I was already on prior to switching to her. She was also very unwilling or just unable to take over anything that could be deferred to a specialist. I did not find her to be very practical or effective.

Met with Dr Momin. Really liked her as a doctor! She seemed kind and compassionate, very knowledgeable. Her staff sadly was very unprofessional and unhelpful. Front office staff seemed rude and disrespectful. Difficult to want to return when the attitude of the office was so uncaring. My husband refuses to go back so guess we will be looking for a new doctor.

She was ok at first then when we got into visit she didn’t know what she was talking about. She started saying we need a bunch of test for withdrawal symptoms! Would not listen and just was so irritating I hung up on her!

Answered all questions , very confident and knowledgeable MD. Takes time to explain all test results and what should be done to correct issues.Very easy to talk to and listens well

I felt completely disrespected and uncared for by Dr. Momin as a patient. She was rude, condescending, and quick to judge. Worse---she was uninformed, and was utterly unhelpful in helping me with my medical issue--giving me outdated, incorrect information. I am also medical practitioner, and I found her bedside manner to be shameful. She made incorrect assumptions about me as a patient, and then failed to order all of the tests she said she would order. Quite frankly, this was one of the worst medical interaction I've had in my life, and working with her was traumatic. I'm not one to leave reviews, and I made myself wait a period of time, to cool down, before leaving this one. Thankfully, I have found another provider who is kind, helpful, knowledgeable and respectful.

I saw Dr Momin last fall, the only time I saw her. I had to go to the ER when feeling sick and unsure due to being Type 1 Diabetic for 53 yrs. I was released when nothing dangerous was found. The ER staff recommended that I see my PCP as follow-up. My PCP, Dr Lizabeth Hall was not in so I was scheduled w/Dr Momin. Dr Momin did not ask clear questions, such as 'How often did I experience low blood sugars'? I assumed that she was asking about situations that required medical intervention. My husband, who is an MD, assumed that this was any lower than normal BG reading. Therefore we had different answers and Dr Momin never clarified her question for either of us. From there on she assumed I didn't know & from there on I was always assessed as wrong. A very unpleasant situation as I felt misunderstood with out proper understanding.

Dr. Momin is a great doctor. Very professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommend her.

I went for a physical and was billed by the doctor for an establishing care specialty visit. The doctors are responsible for coding and billing their patients. I was already an established patient with another physician in the practice who is no longer with the practice. Dr. Momin and I went over my existing health records together. We also discussed her upcoming wedding and desires for children, among our conversation about my current health concerns. Overall I felt that she and I were developing a good rapport, but the billing aspect really kills any chance that I would ever return to see her in the BCH network or in general as I find her to be self-absorbed and untrustworthy.

I cannot begin to tell you how amazing it’s been to work with Dr. Momin. She has incredible bedside manner. She’s warm and compassionate and she invites confidences. I feel comfortable telling her about my issues—and lately have been dealing with a lot of mental health problems. She takes the time to listen to you. She didn’t just throw medications at me like other doctors I’ve seen. We made a plan together about lifestyle changes I could try and she let me really decide my own health plan. Truly one of a kind! I’m very grateful for her! She won’t give up on you.
