Dr. Sonia Silinsky Krupnikova, MD

Extremely helpful and validating experience. I came in after years of chronic pain expecting a usual lack of answers, and Dr. Silinsky Krupnikova was very attentive and thorough, and had the support I was looking for. Feeling very hopeful after my visit.

If you deal with multiple chronic illnesses and fibromyalgia (or other illnesses still disputed within the medical community) I suggest you look elsewhere. I have been to numerous rheumatologists and I know when my pain is related to my connective tissue disorders or fibromyalgia. When doing a pain test on my joints, I would say there was pain and she would reply that it was just my fibromyalgia. It was not a fibromyalgia pain. I know my body and the way different pains feel for me personally (and what they mean). I was then told that all of my medical concerns were ultimately and fully psychologically based. Dr. Silensky pushes the outdated hysterical patient label on you if your illnesses are complex. Since seeing her I’ve been to specialists who have looked into my concerns and found the root of the problem. The root of the problem was not that I just need to go do yoga or see a therapist. I urge Dr. Silensky to avoid practices that ignore the patient and label them as hysterical.

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Silinski. She thoroughly answered all my questions and explained the procedure clearly. She was kind and patient, taking the time to understand and discuss my symptoms in detail. I highly recommend her for her professionalism and compassionate approach.

The most empathetic doctor I've met in the last few years. Dr. Krupnikova was patient, attentive and not rushed. She took time to know me and explain the problems I am facing.Doctor explained the treatments and side effects she was proposing and gave me enough information to decide what is best for me.

Another appointment today with Dr. K. She listens, she asks the right questions, she knows how to touch to help diagnose, she follows up on prior referrals, she points in future directions for treatement and pain management. She feels like a friend, but within the boundaries needed to be a physician. She's good.
