Dr. Sonali Majmudar, MD

Dr. Majmudar was very knowledgeable, professional, and took her time to listen and answer all questions I had. This review should not be a reflection on her ability to do her job well, as she is highly intelligent and my situation is very, very rare (1-3% of the population rare). I came in following an ongoing, several week long allergic reaction which included severe hives and swelling of my face and lips. I was on my third round prednisone during the visit. The doctor went over a several week regimine of multiple doses of allergy medicine a day; unfortunately, it did not work for me. I went to a different Allergist, who recommended blood work. We learned that my body is producing 4 times the amount of histamine it should, which is why antihistamines aren't having much of an impact. My only feedback is that bloodwork should have been ordered. Starting monthly Xolair injectings.

Dr. Majmudar is compassionate, a clinical expert, and cares about her patients. I am complex patient and also a medical professional. She uses her knowledge, experience, and understanding to manage complex cases and think outside of the box. Dr. Majmudar is an asset to her profession.
