Dr. Sonal Goswami, MD

I would leave zero stars. I've debated this for two months. This is my concern/ worry. I used a telehealth app through my insurance. I have been on a search for my perfect match psychiatrist. I have been receiving mental health services for over 13 years. I have not felt this disrespected by a health care provider. Seeing this provider made me contemplate dropping my medications and never getting help ever again. I have thought about this appointment every day since. There is a way to ask a patient if they intentionally cut themself. ( As a person with that lifetime struggle.) This was so disrespectful. Words can't express the disappointment I experienced from this provider. I was injured at work and received two stitches on my dominant finger. I mentioned it because it happened days ago, and I wasn't feeling well. How do you just ask a patient if it was on PURPOSE? It was an accident! There was no regard for a patient's feelings. That was just a horrendous comment. There was no compassion. I understand that I do not agree with a patient's personal choices. There is a way to come off as compassionate even when you don't agree with someone. Again this way a very very dis-hearting experience. I hope I never feel looked down on when I'm reaching out for help. Her approach of asking me if I intentionally cut myself was very judgmental. If she genuinely cared, there would be a way to be kind and ask respectfully. I can't believe this appointment had me contemplating never getting help again. Recommendation: Any person with any past self-harm issues, find some on else. Anyone one else.

Dr Goswami has been treating me via telemedicine appointments for a few years. She is invested in her patient's well-being and doesn't rush you out of an appointment. She is professional and has been very helpful for my medication management.

I currently see Dr. Goswami through the Doctor on Demand app (as that app is preferred in my insurance network). She is wonderful. Polite, professional, kind, caring, and straightforward. She takes her time and focuses on treating the entire person. She is not one of those doctors who throws pills at you and that is it. She prescribes medication as needed and really encourages therapy, self-care, and overall wellness. Also, thanks to her, I discovered I have hypothyroidism because she had me get labs done when I told her my depression was persisting despite meds/therapy. If she hadn't done so, I never would have thought to get checked. I wish more doctors were this thorough and caring! Highly recommend her!

Despite the fact that she gives herself good reviews, Dr. Goswami was one of the worst psychiatrists I’ve ever experienced. I told her about my rape, she asked why my parents didn’t care enough to come get me. What kind of doctor says this to a patient? Please steer clear if you have any form of trauma, this is not the doctor for you. She doesn’t listen and assumes a lot. I shouldn’t leave a psychiatrist’s office crying about the things they said.

I love Dr. Goswami!!! She has helped me so much. She listens and she cares. I love having her as my doctor.

I love Dr. Goswami. My two children suffer from anxiety disorders and I have yet to find a doctor with the wisdom and knowledge of Dr. Goswami. My children love and trust her and so do I.
