Dr. Snehal Patel, DDS

Most HORRENDOUS experience with Dr Snehal Patel with my wisdom teeth extractions at their Lorton location. Severe pain & swelling for months, an out-and-out botched surgery, a miserably failed bone graft and months later, I am still in severe agony, pain and now forced to live with a missing big chunk of gum and bone. He was very rough & careless while taking out teeth, I heard my bone cracking loudly as he used massive amount of force while taking out my second upper molar. Multiple second opinions by other surgeons established that my buccal bone was broken during the extractions and resulting in permanent damage of my entire right side gum. So much so that an implant was impossible following the botched extractions. His bone graft procedure failed immediately within 2-3 months too but he flatly refused to own the responsibility! The extractions, stitches, bone graft everything was done extremely shoddily. I am in pain and have lost my sleep & peace.

I am so grateful to Dr. Snehal Patel and his team! I had a wonderful experience from the minute I stepped into their office. Dr. Patel’s team greeted me so kindly and the extraction procedure itself went so smoothly. Dr. Patel is very caring, knowledgeable and skilled--he truly made me feel at ease, despite my anxious state. I must also thank the caring and professional team, including the reception, the x-ray technician and the surgical assistants. They were equally fantastic, and I could tell really cared about their patients and love what they do. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and am grateful to my dentist for sending me to Dr. Patel.

My daughter had to have her wisdom teeth removed and I chose Dr. Patel through reviews. He was fine but his billing department was a wreck! They sent me the estimate of my costs stating the amount was the worst case scenario. When we got there they said there had been a mistake that that I owed $1000 more than the estimate! They said they were sorry but the front office staff had been in transition and had made a mistake. Billing person went out of room and soon came back stating that it was their mistake and I would be responsible for only what was on the estimate. They told me to disregard any bills I received and to call if I got one. After the second bill I called and was told that I was responsible for the total amount. Both my daughter and I remember the whole conversation because we were going to leave if we had to pay more. After much heated discussion, I was told I would get another call, but today I just received another bill. Very disappointing, and very unprofessional.

I had a tooth pulled by Dr. Patel 3.5 years ago. It was a painful experience and one of the reasons I never went back for additional treatment. The other and more pressing reason is that Dr. Patel showed little interest in managing my pain. About a month ago, and to my surprise, I recieved a bill for my visit 3.5 years ago...give me a break! Talk about an effective and efficient staff. Here is just another indicator why I believe I made the right choice not to continue with Dr. Patel.
