Dr Kapoor was a great example of issues with the healthcare system. After my PCP left the state I scheduled an appointment at this location to establish a new one. I scheduled my first appt with Dr. Kapoor and I let her know my need to establish a new PCP. During the visit she recommended switching my medication but first she wanted to get lab work done. I go get the lab work and the results all come back normal. So I called about getting the medication switched. Surprise, I am informed I have to come back for another visit before she'll do that, which she never mentioned during the first visit. And then another surprise, I received a notice in the mail that Dr. Kapoor is going to be leaving. So weeks earlier when I met her for the first visit saying I needed a new PCP she couldn't have the courtesy of telling me she was also leaving? She just looked me in the eye and said nothing even though she knew she wouldn’t be helping me. Even though I was frustrated getting that notice I figured I better schedule another appt to get my medication switched before leaves. I’m guessing others saw that notice too because this time they didn’t have any openings for many weeks. So I schedule an appt and wait. During the 2nd appointment she then notifies me that she actually doesn't want to switch my medication since she's leaving and can’t “monitor it”. She says I should find another doctor and restart this process with them. A simple phone call could have covered that. That really showed a disregard for the fact that each doctor visit costs us money even with insurance. It also costs us time since I am typically waiting an hour after arrival before I even see her in the patient room. Additionally, I travel for work frequently so my ability to schedule visits is limited (which I mentioned to her on the first visit). Instead of just telling me she was leaving at the first visit so I could find another doctor, she had me go through these games of multiple visits and now I'm at the exact same spot I was months ago. I hope Dr Kapoor will have more integrity wherever she goes next because this was really disrespectful.

Watch out or she'll bill you twice for one appt!
I had my annual physical in 11/2021 with Dr Kapoor, my first time using her after my stellar doctor left the practice. I am used to having one annual physical with my Dr and answering all my questions and doing all things I need done that year. THIS doctor didn't take time to read my history at all, looked only at my most recent blood tests but not any trends, and complained about me asking too many questions. What doctor doesn't say, during your annual physical, "Do you have any other questions or concerns?" Worst though, she charged me for TWO APPOINTMENTS! When my bill came, it had my physical on there, which is 100% preventative with my insurance, no cost to me. She also though charged me for an 'office visit' because I took too much of her time. Another thing bad about her, she only works a few days a week, and it's hard to get appointments. So, if this person did turn out to be your 'regular' doctor, you'd probably not be able to get in to see her if you had a question.

I saw Dr Kapoor as a first time new patient. She was dismissive and verbally combative with me and I should have walked out. Each doctor brings their own bias into the appointment, she does not believe in HRT.

Very impatient, tends to be argumentative with her patients. Not good at managing her panel. She does not want to manage her patients whole health.

I am lucky that Dr. Kapoor was chosen as my primary care physician. She is very attentive to her patient's needs and obviously cares a great deal about their health and well-being. She always has a smile on her face and listens to her patient's concerns and addresses all of their questions. I enjoy that she takes quality time for each appointment and do not mind waiting if she is running late.

Dr. Kapoor was my Physician when she was in North Phoenix. I am following her to SJHMC because she has been very attentive in my health care in the past. She is worth the drive from Surprise.

I had my first visit with Dr. Kapoor yesterday and I was very impressed. As a teaching hospital, I sat with a medical student first and then Dr. Kapoor came in and went over the information collected and addressed my major concerns. I thought she was exceptionally friendly and answered all of my questions clearly. I would definitely recommend her to anyone!

Dr Kapoor takes the time needed to go over all health issues and answer questions. Very thorough, I never feel like she is rushing through an appointment. I have complicated health issues and like that she seeks second opinions and refers when needed. On a personal level she is very sweet and friendly, always has a smile on her face and has an excellent memory without consulting previous notes.
