Dr Kulakov made sure he personally saw me to evaluate my continuing condition - after two PAs treated me (one at a HHC facility). Dr Kulakov diagnosed the problem an came up with a treatment plan that is working ! He is the best !

I’ll start with the positive: He is very attentive to the online messaging system if you have a question or need test ordered, etc. He seems knowledgeable about what medication is not appropriate for certain other conditions that might cause serious side effects. (Like how certain heart patients cannot take certain drugs.) He seems knowledgeable about medical conditions and how they relate to deficiencies and other conditions. (Like how a medication will cause a deficiency.)Now the negative: He seems prescription happy. No bedside manner. Seems judgmental and doesn’t ask questions to better understand the patient’s concern or history- just prescribes medication. It comes across as very monotonous, let’s just get through this kind of interaction. He wanted to prescribe a medication that made no sense but provided no explanation why it would be appropriate.I don’t understand the positive reviews. Is he a completely different person when he comes in the room to treat me?

Dr Kulakov is always highly focused on my condition and has keen foresight and expertise as my internist. He will readily sync his treatment with my other specialists to assure I receive the most effective care. He also “knows” my history so very well.

Dr. Kulakov is always professional and tentative to my issues. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a great doctor!

Dr. Kulakov is an exceptional primary care specialist. He listens to your concerns, is an excellent diagnostician, and truly cares about his patients. He has been my primary doctor for over 20 years and I highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a kind, thoughtful, caring physician. He also has a terrific supportive staff!

Dr. Kulakov always takes the time to listen to patients and answer questions. I never feel rushed. He is knowledgeable on recent research and has been instrumental in heading off serious medical issues (heart, cancer, Lyme).

One of the best doctors you will ever have the pleasure of serving you. Your concerns, no matter how small, are never, ever, brushed aside. Dr. K always listens very closely and takes the necessary steps to find answers to your ailments. Add a top notch bed side manner to that and an "always on" jovial disposition, you can't help but feel that you are being treated by someone who truly cares about you and wants to ensure that you stay healthy and well.
