Misdiagnosed cancer
I saw Mohandesi about 2021. I had a sore spot on my R ear. He told me to go to Portland airport and buy a round pillow. It got worse and he didn’t send me for a biopsy for 10 months, it came back negative as they didn’t take enough material. He finally referred me to ENT at same clinic and she was just going to cut my ear, she did a biopsy at my insistence and it was squamous cell carcinoma. Got a pet scan and it spread, I went to another clinic and had surgery but they didn’t get it all then got referred to Providence Cancer, had 33 rounds of radiation and it didn’t work and I had a 10 hour surgery with 4 surgeons, I spent 2 months in hospital and had to learn to walk again, my right ear is gone, my left thigh skin is plastered on the right side of my head and my facial nerve was cut during surgery so my right eye is drooping and watering and my right side of my face is partially paralyzed. My teeth are gone from the radiation, Stay away!!!

An excellent Family Physician
Dr. Mohandessi treats many members of my family, young and old. We have only had the best care from him. He is good at diagnosing and takes the time to understand your condition as well as giving you options for care.

Wonderful doctor
Dr. Siyavash Mohandessi is my Family Practice doctor. Every appointment is thorough and informative. Dr. Mohandessi is knowledgeable, experienced, professional, kind, and helpful. He has a genuine concern for my health. I don't feel like a number, or a statistic.I feel valued.I researched doctors in Salmon Creek, and chose Dr. Mohandessi because he graduated from the University of Washington School of Medicine. Many in my family are UW grads. Also, his internship and residency was completed at PeaceHealth Southwest in SW Washington.I read his bio at the clinic. He and his wife and children live in the local community. It's important to support local businesses and employees. Our family home is here in SW Washington. I have had other PCPs before, but they retired. I made sure to find a physician in his 40's. Enough years of experience, yet too young to retire. I highly recommend Dr. Mohandessi as a PCP (Primary Care Physician).

Condescending and ignorant. Did not listen to concerns although, obviously, I know my body better and the changes that have occurred. Did not want to refer out to a specialist, as he thought his answers of "stress related" would satisfy. Never seeing him again. Don't waste your time, worth the wait to see a knowledgeable doctor who will give you time of day to get to the bottom of a problem. Now I understand why there is no wait to be seen by him.

Condescending know-it-all. Unfamiliar with my history, did not listen to concerns, clarify info or answer questions. He disregarded the work and input of other providers, came up with an entirely different diagnosis, didn't offer options I was comfortable with, and prevented me from being involved or making my own decisions regarding treatment. We disagreed on medication and he said "I'm the one writing the prescriptions." His pager or similar device went off twice, then he exited abruptly.

In my experience, he is indifferent to the situation which is something I like. You tell him what's wrong and he tells the options. Straight to the point.
