Dr. Simona Pick Both, MD

Over the past 11 years, Dr. Pick has monitored me closely to choose the best medications for my illness, and she has made adjustments as needed. Dr. Pick worked tirelessly on a weekly basis to correct my problem with Dyskinesia. My symptoms are now gone from her excellent medication management and careful monitoring. I would highly recommend Dr. Pick to anyone suffering with Mental Illness. Not only does she have the professional experience and expertise required to help manage and medicate these difficult and complex problems, but also she cares about the welfare of her patients and does her best to help them. I am confident that if her advice is followed Dr. Pick can help you with the Psychological issues that you are facing.

My niece is being treated at dominion hospital. She asked me to advocate for her because she wasn't comfortable with her new dr, Dr. Pick both. When the dr called, I apologized for having not spoken with her prior since she was her new Dr but felt it was urgent we talk since my niece felt her meds were making her paranoid and she was hearing voices. When the dr said that's not what my niece told her I said well it's because you're the third dr in two weeks. She then berated me about how she was on vacation and they are human too and entitled to time off etc....her demeanor was completely unprofessional and I am truly appalled that a mental health professional would treat anyone the way she did me. I am deeply concerned about my nieces safety now. I will leave 1 star because she did return the call quickly.

Dr. Pick Both is an outstanding physician who has cared for me for almost 10 years. She's been dedicated to helping me with all aspects of my health, not just my mental health. She is a therapist for her patients as well, which has been a lifesaver! I went from spending weeks in a psych ward to working full time, owning a house, and having a family, within just a couple years under her care. She's a kind, gentle doctor who clearly knows how to manage meds well, as well as listen with compassion.

I've been seeing Dr. Both for 13 years now. See has helped me overcome my issues with excellent care, and I look forward to seeing her many more years.
