Dr. Simiao Li-Sauerwine, MD

Dr. Li sewed my daughter's chin up after she cut it falling off of the countertop. You might imagine that a 5 year old is scared of needles and blood but she was so gentle and patient that there weren't even any tears.

I visited OSU ER on a weekend several months ago. I had skin infection on my face and a swollen eyelid. After waiting for a few hours without seeing any doc coming, Dr. Li walked in with a stern look, telling me she was an ER supervisor and an eye doctor would be here. Then she quickly turned around and walked out without seeing me in her eyes. Without proper care from her and eye doctors who came, my medical condition deteriorated quickly with my eye highly sensitive to light, a lot of tearing, and difficulty to see anything, and later I got double vision between two eyes. I could not drive and work for weeks. Under another eye doctor's care, my eye took several month to recover with continued medication. After my ER visit, Dr. Li sent me a bill to charge several hundre dollars for her professional care! She was doing her adminstrative work at the ER without givng me any professional care and I suffered tremendously. How greedy is this doc?

Dr. Li was my spouse's doctor during an emergency room visit. She was thorough, compassionate and caring which made the visit less scary. Wonderful addition to Northwestern's team. Thank you, Dr. Li!
