Dr. Silvana Obici, MD

This doctor came very highly recommended to me from another doctor. Stony Brook doctors in my opinion are some of the best doctors I have ever used. I waited 3 months to see her and the day before my appointment, they cancelled my appointment. I was later rescheduled for a few weeks later. She was very nice and listened to my issues. Went over possible medications to prescribe after my bloodwork came back. She ordered extensive bloodwork and told me to contact her via patient portal when it came in. I never heard from her or anyone else in her office again after that. I have called the office 7 times to work out a treatment plan and NOBODY calls you back. I am appalled at the fact that a medical practice is run with such disregard and lack of interest in the patients well being. The last phone call I made, the girl who answered said unfortunately I am not the only one calling irate that nobody is returning a call. I would NOT recommend!

She was friendly and took her time during the visit. She exhibit ed concern for the patients, and awesome bed side manners. This was my initial visit and so far I am happy.

Dr. Obici is genuinely interested in the patients issue. She is open and honest. My experiences with her in my treatment have been professionally, ethically, and technically sound.

She's an experience, smart, and kind doctor, it is just really difficult to get in contact with her and get appointments with her. The best way of contacting her is through the online UC Health portal. She doesn't follow up very well with appointments and procedures, however the one time I really needed to get back to her about something she gave me her private phone number, which I really appreciated.
