Dr. Sidney Baucom, MD

I cannot say enough good about Dr. Baucum. He saved my hand after a traumatic accident with a saw. It was 18 hours of surgery from 7:00 at night to 1:00 in the afternoon the next day. From all the damage that my hand had, he worked a miracle to save all my fingers. I hold this man in the highest esteem. I will forever be grateful for his sacrifice and expertise. I am also very mindful of and grateful to his family who let him give his time and talents to help me. He is an incredible doctor and man.

I cannot thank Dr. Baucom enough! He was so kind, patient, eager to assist me, listened to everything I had to say. Gave me options abs didn't try to push me one way or the other. His staff is amazing as well! I had hand surgery and can honestly say it was pain free!! Top notch service. Thank you!!!

Dr Baucom is very professional but very relaxed and accommodating of questions and discussion, a highly underrated characteristic in the medical field sometimes. Felt like I was better able to make my decisions w the information garnered in my visits.

Dr. Baucom provides a thorough evaluation combined with precision surgical care. He has an outstanding bedside manner and his experience and education significantly outpace most physicians. He looks at the total patient and goes above and beyond to investigate the situation. His training and experience make him a subject matter expert in specialties beyond just orthopedics. The front desk staff is always pleasant and attentive! The office runs smoothly and efficiently. Special recognition should be paid to PA Shayne, MA Surgery Scheduler Amanda and MA Disability expert Kelsey. Everyone in the office is very professional and knowledgeable. Dr. Baucom and the staff take the time to thoroughly answer any questions. I highly recommend Dr. Baucom for your upper extremity surgical needs.

Dr Baucom was very personable and informative. He made me feel comfortable with the procedure and I felt like I was in great hands. I would highly recommend him.

Very professional. Was seen quickly after a fall on a Friday night. Had surgery the following day. Accommodating to my vacation schedule. Follow-up visit was detailed and all my questions answered. Incision is barely noticeable just two weeks after surgery. Recommend highly.

Dr Baucom has been my hand Dr for over 5 years. He is wonderful to work with. He has a 5 star ability to communicate with patients. He lets you know that you matter as a person. His work is amazing. I was admitted to Inter Mountain Hospital after a skiing accident. I had a fractured clavicle, multiple rib fractures, and wrist fractures. I am not from Utah, but perform Anesthesia in Ohio. Multiple staff members had high remarks for Dr. Baucom. Knowing from working in a hospital setting myself when multiple staff have very nice things to say about a physician…. that’s the person you want! Dr. Baucom did not disappoint. He was informative and kind. After surgery I went to his office, which was efficient and clean. I would definitely recommend him if you find yourself in unfortunate circumstances, like me. (Edit-Not sure why the punctuation around sentence six is weird)

I had a lump on my palm & thought I might need surgery to remove it. Dr Baucom said this is not uncommon & that I don’t need surgery unless I develop trigger finger.

I have been to see Dr. Baucom several times and was happy with the results. He did a couple trigger finger releases that worked and didn’t return. He also has given me a few cortisone injections for De Quervain’s syndrome that were successful. He is also very personable and informative.
