Dr. Shyam Kumbhani, DO

He was understanding about a sensitive event in my life and how much it affected me. He told me he didn't think I needed medication for more than a few weeks and gave me some useful advice and showed me better ways to cope. I don't need medication any longer. I appreciated that he didn't just throw pills at me. Appointment was done on video and that was convenient for me to not have to drive anywhere.

Please find another provider. He’s not worth your time, he consistently talks over you and doesn’t care to explain anything. Our last visit ended with him talking over me, making me cry then hanging up on me, all because I told him he wasn’t listening and kept talking over me.

I wish I had seen these reviews before I was under Dr. Kumbhani’s “care”. My most recent issue was in our last appointment. He upped the meds I was on and so I made it a point to ask if it was safe and if we were talking about the same medicine, he reassured me it was safe. Then the pharmacy gives me different meds, I call his office and they say it was a mistake and to take my old medication. After a little I run out of my old meds, they send in a refill but it was sent back because he didn’t specify the dosage was upped. I call his office again, they say take the new medicine that was a mistake last time. I schedule an appointment, he says the old meds at a high dosage was unsafe, even though he prescribed it and I had been taking it for weeks. When I confronted him he then tried to manipulate me and say I was having an emotional episode. The whole call he was talking over me and was being incredibly rude. I don’t trust him at all, if you see this please don’t trust him either.

Doesn’t follow through with medication, didn’t explain side effects, doesn’t listen, dismissive, rude, can’t ever reach him to talk about concerns with medication, doesn’t return phone calls, and rushed visits. Doesn’t seem to know what he’s doing or know what medications to prescribe. I would not recommend, schedule an appointment with a different doctor.

Very bad on following through. Cancelled video appt last minute. You get what you pay for. It was a free video visit. Find another physician. Also, no more DO's. MD are the only way to go.

Incompetent and never follows through with sending prescriptions. Ran out of medication twice now.
